thanks bud I really appreciate the kind words
One of the rare instances I find myself fully engaged with the video with no urges to skip forward. Incredible work!
really means a lot thank you for the support!
Wow. It's always such a nice surprise when you randomly stumble onto an incredibly well-crafted piece of content that hasn't blown up yet. Wonderfully edited and explained. I've been playing FM for 12 years and work as a full-time professional in the football industry and I loved this. Well done!
a huge compliment thank you!! I always try to find a balance of putting enough in the video to inform the viewer, but not too much to where the video is bloated. But good to know they're being enjoyed!
the color of your thumbnail really attracted me to your video but i decided to watch the entire thing because of your calm tone and nice looking captions in the videos
really good job man
please keep making videos
also, I've never actually used a deep lying forward before in any of my saves so this sort of have me an idea of how to use one of i ever decide to
Thank you for the information
that's awesome!! glad you liked the thumbnail; I was a kid in the 1990's so I always love using that stuff since it's considered "vintage" now haha. And thank you for the kind words!
As far as the deep lying forward goes, try starting with a 4-4-2 and set your other striker to an advanced forward. The deep lying forward pairs well this role. If you still struggle, you can write out the tactic you're using and I'll try to help out!
Really like the direction this channel is heading, i am sure it will get better and better with time. I almost never do it, but i have clicked the bell button.
man that means so much thank you!! I hope the guides help out!
You're creating some brilliant videos mate, really enjoy watching these type of videos that explain roles.
Thank you it really means a lot for the lovely compliments! Glad you're enjoying the videos
Commenting for engagement, hope your channel blows up
seriously means a lot to me to do that! Thank you!
Just discovered this channel and already in love with it. 👍
thank you!! Seriously that really means a lot!
I prefer F9. Actually love F9 and Poacher countermoving. Thanks for yr vids. Waiting for more to come ))
Great call. Also love a good striker pair that move in opposite directions; very difficult for defenders to mark
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker , I found a rather old comment on SI forum, related to FM22. What are yr thoughts?
"In summary, the deep lying forward is better if you want the pass to be made towards a deep attacking run from the midfield because the act of holding up the ball buys time for these deep attacking runs to happen. The false 9 is better if you are expecting to pass the ball to inside forwards or wide forwards making diagonal runs towards the goal since you are facing the play and will be in a better position to play these passes."
That "holding the ball" issue sounds legit on paper. But I haven't used DLF much for ages.
And don't you find that F9 is a better scoring threat as a solo striker?
DLF is my favourite Forward role since FM 11, so underrated
Not sure if it came across in the video, but I LOVE the DLF. So versatile and like you say underrated.
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker not all at all, everything you said is spot on. Many people use and campaign other role like Pressing Forwards and Advanced Forwards or even Target Forward. Not do you explain concisely but also bring cool ideas too. Keep it.
Hey, really good concept! Keep this going, I think it works well.
Great video, keep it up, subscribed. Like the very calm vibe
thank you! I've tried doing the excited youtuber thing but it's just not in my personality haha
Spectacular content! Calm, good visuals, multiple and excellent examples. Explaining the game and the game of football instead of giving exploit instructions. I never subscribed faster to any youtube channel. I'm craving for more.
thanks bud I appreciate it! We all love watching football and how tactics work and I try to find the best way to approach it with some realism.
Enjoyed your analysis and explanations. Now I need a detailed video explaining the differences between the dlf and the false 9 and which one is more effective as well as other various seemingly similar roles in various positions.
Great idea!! Once I start getting some catalog of roles, I'll start doing comparisons bewteen roles (inverted winger vs inside forward, etc...)
When writing, I struggle with what to include/not include, since I want the videos to have a good balance of information while also being succinct.
Really enjoyed this. Keep it up dude.
thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video
Fantastic.
Nice! Subscribed :)
the narration, explanation, visualization all top notch. keep it up Brother!!
thank you my friend!! Love that you're getting some joy from the videos!
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
super well edited plus great content in the same video. i hope your channel explodes and is shown to many many youtube viewers. cheers!
thank you my friend!
Great video, man. I personally never use this role because I think the F9 and N10 seems more effective but I should give it a go
It's funny because the F9 is the role that I always seem to have trouble with haha. Even though they're kinda doing similar things
Great video look forward to future uploads
Should be more to come! Thanks for stopping by!
great video and breakdown! first video i've watched from you but you've earned an instant sub 😁🏴🎯
seriously that means a lot!! Thank you for the kind words
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymaker all deserved brother. when i commented i didn't realise it was only your 2nd video aswell!
your art style is unique and pops out. also the info and displays of tactics is useful aswell. i think you'll grow a great community 😁
honored to be in the first 100 subscribers !
Love it legend 💙
I appreciate it!
Well, I can safely say that this video may have helped me break the match engine. DLF can help you create pure chaos! Great breakdown as always, did a great job of highlighting what I was looking to do in my tactic!😁
haha that's awesome. I won't be held responsible for broken match tactics hahaha. but yea i love how the deep lying forward is secretely an amazing playmaker
Love your content
thank you that really means a lot!!
Great vibes, dont know other FM content creator with this style
thank you!! There's a lot of great FM content out there but I tried to do it in my own style so glad it's resonating!
3:02 On paper a solo DLF is not that bad with an attacking midfielder like shadosteiker or even AM with some instructions. Plus IF / IWa in a narrow formation can bring tons of overloads.
never comment at all, but great visuals/edit. really like this unique retro style
thank you for the kind words!! I grew up in the late 80s/early 90s so these retro visuals feel right at home to me haha
Hi, great video, really like the calm and informativ style.
I also like the DLF but i often struggle to find a good one. Are u using target forward as a DLF instead? From the stats they are the most similiar but most of them lack vision, passing and flair in my experience.
Yea the DLF and target forward are pretty similar and do a lot of the same things. I use a DLF if my side is maybe a little more strong; so I'm not like fighting against relegation or something. If I am struggling, I use a target man to try and get some cheap goals from corners haha.
With a target man, the team seems to hoof it up to him and go "well the target man is probably down there somewhere"
taichi hara is a beast i didnt think i'd see someone mention him
in fm23 i bought him at ibiza and he took me to la liga and scored to win in the copa del rey final hes a legend
I have legit thought about getting a Hara jersey cause he's such a fun player to use. You're right a legit beast
It is a great role for a high press and possession tactic against a defensive low block because a CB will follow your DLF out of the box
The prime examples of DLF in world football are Benzema and Harry Kane
Please do CF next
Great video! Subscibed. How about a SS or AM on attack as your AMC? I feel like it would work great with a DLF or a F9 but I haven't tried it yet.
a SS is an amazing role so it'd definitely work if you've got the right player for it. You could also do an asymmetrical formation with a SS/DLF so they wouldn't get in the way
hi nice content :D i loved your style any channel from which we can ask for content request from you :D
This channel has 5 stars potential. Love it. Btw, how can I keep my players stay in the pockets for midfielders (cm, cam)?
Thanks for the compliment I appreciate it!
For staying in the pocket, try to take advantage of the new positional play in FM24. So check the roles that are in direct contact with your CM/CAM (like the striker for example.)
For example, if you've got a CAM, is your striker pressing the defensive back line? Something like an advanced forward should create space to where an attacking midfielder (on support) can sit in the hole.
I also find the box to box is great role to sit in the pockets of space. Hope that helps!
Please, do the Trequartista role next. Great job BTW
Thanks! I'll see if I can get a treq video up
I wonder if you would mind explaining the reasoning to having your SV on the right behind the DLF as opposed to on the left? I would have thought that would of created a bit of overlap between the 2 roles no?
I'll double check but I *think* it was because my SV was right footed and I wanted to keep him on the same side. But I think that the real answer is I find the tactic for aesthetically pleasing to look at in the tactic screen with a SV on the right haha XD
Amazing info my dude, im new to fm so i wanna know whats the difference between a false 9 and deep lying forward? And which is best to use with an inside forward 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!! F9 is more of a playmaker/passer... think Messi in the Barca days. Harry Kane is a great example of a DLF; someone who wants to be involved in the build up but functions more like a traditional striker. Both work great with an IF
💀bro can u do more I like this can you like a tiki taka so u can help me out I'm playing efootball ik it's different from what game you explained it for but it helps
My main System is a 4231 with a DLF. I love it
oh nice!! what role are you running for the attacking midfielder?
keep the good job pls, can't wait for the next role
I would like to know what is the exact way I should play the Centromediano Metodista, I feel like I’m totally misunderstanding the role. Thank you very much for your video quality😊
my apologies, are you struggling with the central midfield role? I'll see if I can do a video on the central midfielder, but check out my other video on the box to box midfielder. I use a central midfielder (on attack duty) in one of my tactics and it may be a good starting point!
did u thinks that can be good use “pass it trough spaces” in a tactic with the DPG? or it’s too much?
the "pass into space" is good if you have a lower defensive line. This is because the opponent will press up and leave space behind
DLF is a reverse second striker😂
Dude that's a wonderful way to put it
@@TheDeepLyingPlaymakerkeep up the great work man
Please keep them videos coming you rock
