- Watching this footage back I can see how exhausted I really was from all the traveling 😅 I hope you enjoyed anyway! I’m very excited for all of these projects.

Loved everything you showed today! Also love your earrings. So glad you enjoyed your trip. Traveling alone is so liberating, isn't it?
Usually when I get that hole pattern when I’m doing my short rows it means I haven't picked up the turning stitches properly once I’m done short rowing. Even though I do short rows a lot it still happens to me fairly often. Especially on turn stitches that happened on the purl side.
Ahhh I see. I was thinking maybe my tension wasn’t tight enough, but even the second time I did it, I got the holes. Thank you for pointing that out! I’ll be thinking about this comment next time I do short rows lol. Happy knitting :) ❤
Those brown/white variegated socks are beautiful! I loved hearing about your travels, too!
Thank you!!! Hopefully there will be more trips to talk about in the future :)
The socks in the variegated brown yarn are coming along, slowly but surely lol.
I made two Sophie scarfs the first week 😂 love wearing them tho! That pastery sounds really good. What a lovley thing to do, go on a trip alone and knit in parks 🧶🍂☕️
Everyone is getting Sophie scarves for the holidays 😂 they’re wonderful to knit!
Haha thank you, someone who gets it! I could spend every vacation finding cozy spots to knit.
@@joyandknitting sounds like a great vacation to me hahaha
I hope you enjoyed your trip to Portugal :) The yellow yarns are very beautiful!
Thank you! I very much did. I would love to go back.
The yellow yarn has officially been casted on 😎
I recently made a Sophie Scarf but I did the small size, but not as many of the repeats because I wanted to use it as a headband and I plan to make a few more just the same.
I wish we could share photos here in the comment section, I’d love to see them! I love the look of turning them into headbands or hair ties.
@@joyandknitting I wish we could share pictures also.
I get those holes from short rows around the neck as well, I don’t like them, think it ruins the look of the neck area 😐 not sure how to fix it, have tried all the different ways suggested to make neater but nothing works 🤷♀️
There was a comment here that pointed out the potential reason for getting them. If only there was a way to hide them, or completely fix them! I’m wondering if it’s just more apparent when using certain yarns, im not sure. 😢

Loved seeing your projects and hearing about your shopping experience. I'm working on a Sophie scarf now, as I leave Lisboa. I wanted to go yarn shopping yesterday, Sunday, but they were closed. Hoping to find a good one in Cascais today! The only souvenir I want to bring home is Portugese yarn 🙂.
