I love this cake and the fact that it is decorated with icing and not fondant. My granddaughter is having a sea turtle birthday party. I always made my niece and nephew’s cakes so tradition continues with my grand children. She’s girly and loves pink so I’m going to try this with a pink sea turtle although I know there is no such thing. But her invitation has a pink one on it. Hope it comes out as good as yours!!!

kimytaf Be sure to give yourself plenty of time, this took about 3-4 hours. Hopefully doing it the other way will be shorter! Post a picture so I can see how it turned out!
I will!! we are having the main party on the sat so I have most of Friday to do it. and if needed sat morn to fix or touch up. J said thank you for the birthday wishes. he was excited when he saw the end result of the cake. Whoop!

This was actually a request by one of my followers. I can't do cake orders anymore, I have a couple health issues that make me unreliable :( So now the cakes are just for fun and I give them away. It's fine though because there's really no stress, no pressure to get it done by a certain time.
+SeriousCakes I don't do orders anymore either. Carpel tunnel in both hands, had the surgery but it still prohibits me from doing this everyday. Now just family, friends and a special one here or there.
+Carol Prinz Yep, same here, kids' birthdays and I make an exception occasionally but I am always worried my hand/arm will fail, or I won't have the energy to finish (has happened lol). But I'm thankful for doing this way! :D
