This episode with the scones is wonderful! I am faacinated with all the beautiful antique kitchen equipment that Ivan uses for each recipe..lucky guy! I think that the furniture and decor of the Victorian era are so lovely. The craftsmanship is exquisite. I wish you had continued your program. I love it.
LOL....Please forgive me...but I couldn't resist! @8:10...'the 'Queen hunkering down to sniff the drawer lining!' I tried not too......but I laughed my head off on that one!
It was always like that. Some Queens were even worse for it in earlier times, just going around all year staying in country homes, it almost cleaned some nobles out completely, but it always has to be done.
It bothers me that @ 16:37, that people are touching the book of how much the lord spend on updating the house and his accounts, but that the book is propped up so that it does not hurt the binding.
No they don't. You need buildings to represent the periods of history they honor. Victorians wrecked so many classic buildings and monuments trying to "spruce things up"
Ivan Day is great. Rosemary needs removed, but the old queen is ok, but why don't Brits fix their ugly teeth? Queen i.e. Would look and sound better with straight teeth.
You’ve commented this twice on this video, she’s a delight! She’s clearly very excited and interested! I honestly would be exactly the same getting to see all these historical delights!

More, please!! These are fantastic!
My Scottish grandma just used a fork to prick her shortbread - which was beautiful and just melted in the mouth.
I LOVE this show. The first episode was repeated in Australia this afternoon and yay - all these lovely episodes on youtube!

The dark blue China on the dining table is fabulous!
If every single thing is "extraordinary", "remarkable", "incredible" & so on, then nothing is.
@21:47 Imagine finding this in your "shed"! I wonder what it would bring on eBay? ;) LOL!
Thank you so much for uploading this! Any more episodes coming, pleeease?
It's crazy that the owners had to foot the bill for the Queen's whole household.

How about a recipe for these scones.
Rosemary, stop breathing on my 👑 crown. So sayeth the Queen!
An excellent series. But I find the music irritating and quite unnecessary.
I know right?! That music is so annoying & out of place!
I agree but also could do without Rosemary.
Tim is an old queen
He sniffs drawer linings.🤣
@@SAnn-rf3oz He was totally setting himself up for failure with that line :')
@@khalilrossouw2840 🤣
Most odd man
"not many visiting queens go around sniffing drawer linings in stately homes" except you old Tim, the best visiting queen of them all!
Are you suggesting he is gay? Because he isn't. He has 3 grown children!!! What about you?
@@theorganicnaturalvegan8462 A lot of men have a wife and kids and have a totally separate outside life.
A lot don't, but, A lot do.
Are you jealous?
No, I divorced him and he can run around with whomever he chooses now🤣
It bothers me that @ 16:37, that people are touching the book of how much the lord spend on updating the house and his accounts, but that the book is propped up so that it does not hurt the binding.
The industry standard for handling paper artifacts is clean, bare hands. So this is actually ok!
@@joyno6010 Thanks for the FYI!
What did the earl get in return for all the troubles?
Ivan is the quintessential mansplainer! Ugh- he makes my skin crawl every time he speaks.
I like him alot!!
@Kat Harper I missed that show😂🤣
Antes de colocar a folha de outro tinha que baba todo o doce? Nossa...!
Doesn't sound like Victoria liked the visit with such a short comment in her Diary. All that money and time he spent!!
The chef is a control freak
The castle is so drab on the outside they need to spruce it up

i love british manors and castles, rich history etc, but i always lol when it talks about cooking. Perhaps the worst food on earth.
I beg your pardon,, look at how you type!... You have the worst Grammar on Earth. Do not like "rich history" if you cannot speak with rich Grammar!
Too many hands in the cookie dough.
I really like this show but the hosts are incredibly annoying.

NothingToNoOneInParticular how rude...
This Really Good .... However I would Like To See Gloves On People
Preparing Food. It's Just A Thing With Meeee
I'd be told HM to stay in her own homeland, i.e., Germany.
Rosemary is so coarse and lumbering. Clarissa Dickson Wright she ISN'T. Ivan should be doing the dessert section on his own.

Sorry but this is my new RUclips account
