      How did u apply pressure to make the train move

    • @johnh3642
      @johnh3642 2 года назад +1

      In case anyone else has this problem...specifically on the "Bakerloo Line Intro" I kept having an issue, where every time i would move the Traction Brake Control, the deadmans handle would not remain pressed down. So the train would go into shutdown mode auto e-brake, then i'd have to wait for the air pressure to build back up, just to move a little ways and come to a stop again.
      Thought the whole route was gonna play like that, but as soon as I moved on to the next scenario the deadmans handle remains pressed in, Bakerloo trains are much easier to control now :)

    HI, just purchased this purely for the Bakerloo line and am really enjoying your videos...I am a bus driver of 42 years and its nice to get an idea of how an underground train driver would work a shift below the roads of London. I am still learning the keystrokes of the game and cant figure out how to show the external view of the train when its stationed or moving. I use a Raildriver controller as the game supports it (I still would of bought it even if it hadn't) and that makes the DMH a lot easier to operate accurately. Looking forward to more of the same....well done.

      Hi. Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching! Wow! 42 years! That's some going. I did 35 as a train driver on several different stocks. In the sim just press numerical keys, 1, 2 and 3 and these will cycle the camera. You can move the mouse to position it as well. Thanks for the Raildriver controller tip. I looked it up. I didn't know such a thing existed. I may do just one more video to complete the line from Queens Park to Elephant & Castle. But I want to concentrate on aviation really. But I'll see what else TSW2 has. Thanks for posting! Take care. 😉~Rm

    Having been a Signalman in the Willesden and Euston Areas in the early 80's though to the 90's on B.R., the drivers often referred to a signal as a "STICK, "PEG" or "BOARD".
    This goes back to the days of Semaphore Signalling, as that's what they looked like. These references were commonly used by the older drivers, i.e., those that drove trains on B.R. as well as LUL (formally London Transport) in the periods of the 1930's to the modern era 1980's.
    Ground Signals (White Disc with a Red Band across the middle) were referred to as "DOLLY'S" or "DOD", not sure how those names came about, and to be honest I never asked.
    One of my best friends used to be based at Baker Street, were he drove the 1938 and 72 Stock on the Bakerloo Line when it still ran to Stanmore for a number of years before transferring to Barking to drive the D78 stock on the District Line. RIP S.B.J.

    • @NaviSim101
      @NaviSim101  2 года назад +1

      Hi. Yes. We always used the term "Stick" for signal posts and "Dolly" for shunt signals. I drove on the Bakerloo/Jubilee before the lines split. I knew many of the crew at Baker Street. Thanks for watching! ~Rm😉

      Hi there. What do you mean by "the third rail" and the "MR level...4.3"? Has the software frozen? Have you tried approaching from a different direction or trying a new scenario? @@NaviSim101 By the third rail I mean the rail that the train gets power from. The MR level is shown in the bottom right next to the speedometer. The game did not freeze as I could get out of the seat and walk around. Even when I completely shut down the cab and restarted it, it wouldn't move.

      @@andrewe.8373 Hmm.... That's strange. Ok. Just behind the drivers seat on the back wall there is a No Movement Guide. Follow the suggestions. Try to 'trip and reset' your overloads then try for forward movement. You'll see it on the left column buttons. Make sure all switches are in their correct positions. Do you have sufficient train line, Main line air? All thiese things could prevent forward movement. Or simply reset the scenario.It should clear the fault then.

R and F don't do anything on mine and I've checked settings but trying to use the mouse is impossible - even reducing the sensitivity it still is very difficult to control. You make it look so damn smooth ... although as an ex driver, I guess you got lots of practice. lol Not only does using the mouse to control the brake controller or whatever it's called make the game very difficult but then I also can't see out of the damn window so keep over-shooting and failing.
