    When welding on galvanized metal drink milk as it will take out the metals, you will feel fluish if you do not.why not use reduces not from 2" to 1/4" npt,and 2" to 1/2" not, no welding and not possible zinc poisoning.

      good point! I have never heard that milk trick... I opted to weld to keep the cost down and use what I had laying around my garage. plus, being under high pressure, it made more sense for me to weld it...
