I love my paradise gourami he’s super intelligent and gets along with everyone in the tank
👍👍👍
I have a paradise fish. No idea what sex it is. But lives in a heavily planted temporate community aquarium as my centrepiece fish. It keeps the guppies from over breeding which was why I got it. It does a much better job of this than my previous betta. Other inhabitants of this aquarium are large cory gang, half a dozen ottos, neocaridina and amano shrimp and nerites. The paradise fish always comes to say hello when I am in the room with it. Much like my previous betta did
Great insight Jessica! I’m sure, your comment helps many to understand. 👍
Wow I just learned about the Paradise fish when I saw this video. This is a great video. Thank you for the information 🙏🏾
Thanks Alvin! Glad my video is useful. Means a lot. 🫶🙏
@@aquadiaryofficial I just subscribed to your channel
@@alvintobe5566 Cool ❤️❤️
@@aquadiaryofficial What is your name?
Thanks for the information, currently have bettas but paradise fish could be next. Very good video. Thank you very much.
Glad you like it. Thanks for your generous comment.
Love paradise fish, my favorite
❤️❤️👍
I have both in different Tanks , Excellent fish 🐟 Thanks for the Video ...
I learnt about the existence of paradise fish the moment i saw your video.
Haha! Glad to introduce paradise fish to you. 😁😁
Im a long time holder of paradisefish and can guarantee you, that they are one tough, territorial strong fish. They dont even back down from bigger fish and put them in place. A Betta aint as tough as them.
Interesting insight fact Sam. Helps many beginners. 👍
How long their lifespan?
@@farisridho3605 Depends on many factors. If you hold them in optimal conditions they can get up to 8 to 10 years. They are tough and strong fishes.
I'm seriously thinking about them. Do you keep a male with several females? Do you keep other fish with them? If so, which ones do you think are the best?
@@AnnaMariaCiniErak Optimal would be one male with two females.
I first learned them by watching this video😊
Haha! Glad I introduced them to you. 😄😄
Bravo from Romania Dracula land ❤
I learned about them in a lfs that had a tank full of paradise fish and imbellis betta. Now i have one blue and black paradise fish in my 80 gallon community tank
Paradise fish are awesome to keep.
@aquadiaryofficial I agree. Such a cool and pretty fish. He mostly hangs out in the caves and plants, but if i approach the tank he comes right to the front.
You didn't mention that the paradise fish generally need lower temperature and lower protein content in their food compared to bettas. Temperature around 18-28 degrees. So no heater is necessary. Protein content around 40%, so even goldfish food can be added for variety 1-2 times a week.
Agree, they do relatively well on colder water around 65F. Good point. Helps many beginners. Appreciate it. 👍👏
I liked the videos and gained another subscriber, I saw some specimens of paradise fish that I had never seen, in addition to the albinos and the common or wild, are they fish obtained through genetic selection?
Yes, they were domestic breeds of high quality strains with multiple iterations. Thanks for subscribing. Welcome to Aqua Dairy Squad (ADS)!
What would a minimum tank size for these fish be? I have a ten gallon I’m looking to stock but I’ll likely just put a betta in it if these won’t fit
20 gallons. They are hardy fish, can survive in smaller tanks. But if you are planning for a pair, 20 gallons are minimum.
Can I ask - if you have 20 gallon tank with community additions of 6 danio currently...the recommendation is to have just one alone in the tank (male as more colourful) rather than 2 males or male and female.... 1 male is ok right?
Where are these strains from such as the full yellow one I can’t seem to find any oniline?
I got few from aquabid around year back. But not much success on breeding them.
Is a shallow tank 45x30x17 cm valid enough for paradise fish?
Yes, it works well.
I still prefer bettas, to be honest. But if you don’t like the flaring and aggressive nature but still want a betta, consider getting a paradise gourami instead.
Excellent advice! Helps many beginners 👍
@@aquadiaryofficialI also advise people who have trypophobia at the sight of clusters of bubbles but still like the long finned look of bettas and other anabantoids to just avoid the group altogether and get guppies instead because guppies don’t blow clusters of bubbles and you can’t avoid trypophobia by telling your betta to stop building bubble nests. Trust me I tried to tell my fish to stop when my friend with trypophobia said that he would destroy the bubble nest if he sees it again.
❤❤❤❤❤
😍😍💪
What fish can you keep with betta bro?
Can you breed different color of dumbo ear betta fish?
Yes
5:46 Ahh Yes Snails and Shrimp are fish.
🤣🤣🤣
Can you keep male and female in same tank?
They are not aggressive as betta, but reacts same way. I would not keep them together unless tank is over 10 gallon and have hiding spots.
So does paradise fish flare up like bettas
Yes, their gills don’t expand as big like bettas. But they do flare. You can see that in my video as well while going against betta fish. 👍
@@aquadiaryofficial awww ok, I did notice but couldnt really tell if it was the betta flaring or the paradise fish from top angle. That's cool tho am intrested and i never heard of that fish before until now.
Do u sale paradise fishes?
Its not available near local pet shops.. So sad😢
Can you say how to culture White worms ( 3:07 )
Yes, you have couple of ways with and without start culture. But generally, it prefer cooler. I will creat shorts about it soon. 👍

Can we cross betta and paradise fish since they have the Same breeding process
Great question! Actually you can cross breed many gourami types including paradise fish. But it have some problems. They are less aggressive than parents. Also they can’t reproduce.
Thanks a lot 🤗 but where can I found paradise fish in the south ind
@@mrstne8952 I knew, it’s available in Chennai kolathur fish market. Also some parts of kerala.
That would be great
No, different genus
Betta fish genus betta
Paradise fish genus macropodus
They different genetic, can't crossing
@aquadiaryofficial are rubber toys safe for betta fish
It’s depends quality and type. In general, liquid rubber material are safe to use. If your fish having nippy behavior and can bite rubber, it’s not a good option.
@@aquadiaryofficial my fish does not make sense 😂
will 2 females fight ?
Usually Females are not aggressive as males. But some females are aggressive and keep attacking others in community tank. But it’s not common.
Deben de ponerlo con subtitulos en español
Will add it. Thanks for suggestion. 👍
I once put 3 paradise gouramis in my comunity tank, and they killed or ate half the fish in my tank in 2 hours😢
Crazy 😢🤯
Is this available in TN
I can’t ship bro. But I found them in Chennai Kolathur market in past.
@@aquadiaryofficial Ooo
gpt has entered the chat🙄
When we create this video we don’t even know about gpt bro! It’s older video
wow how did they get to these genes
By selective captive breeding. They really looks cool, better option for community tank compared to betta. 😁
@@aquadiaryofficial i heard the last bit in the video :p ❤️ thank you for your advice i bred betta fish before I’d give the same advice too to anyone i meet
@@aquadiaryofficialSome video available here on the channel or in one that indicates information about breeding with genetic selection, I started a project with paradise fish, but I realized that there is almost no information on the internet about them, only about bettas, which I use as a base study. ..but it has many peculiarities that do not help in the case of paradise.
I hired Vietnamese and some Asian people who had such specimens...but as is only to be expected...they give almost no information about the selection methods.
Please remove the flashing crap with the subscribe at the beginning. Thats very rude to migraine and seizure sufferers. I won't subscribe since I don't want to deal with that every video which sucks because the video is good.
Thanks for letting me know. It’s Accidental edit issue. You are 100% assured that none of my existing videos have that. Also no future videos will have that. You are safe to check any of existing videos. I will try crop this section. 👍🙏
