- I had this pecut custom-made and this was the first time I got to try it out. Over in Indonesia, they use these for dances and traditional performances. You can find videos of it by looking up "Reog."
I don't know how or if this will make it into my show, but I'm looking forward to cracking it somewhere where I'm not worried about disturbing the neighbors.

In Indonesian traditional art ceremony, whips are used with spells to open portals to other worlds and summon spirits and gods. contains the meaning of war or unity with another world which can mean disaster or help in the real world.

That thing is indeed a beast. I stood to close to one of the performance swinging those around and almost got hit. Fortunately i didn't, only had ringing ears for a few minutes. The shock legit sent me crying.

@@darkhoodie8851Indonesian "pecut" (basically means "whip") is not really famous these days plus in Indonesia people usually use it for delman (transportation using carriage that attached to a horse, we didnt really used it for transportation anymore, just for recreation), or cultural thing like kuda lumping (a festival when a man riding a horse made from plywood or any thin wood idk then they eat glass) so yeah kinda get it that they didnt know it.

On Indonesian, pecut and whip was the same but, pecut is only on Java language. Pecut is often use for perform for 'jaran kepang' dance. On jaran kepang, pecut is As a symbol to banish bad luck and evil soul. There are other interesting things, usually often associated with mystical things such as black magic and possession. They also performed under a haunted banyan tree.
And to be honest, as an Indonesian, your swings was incredible. 'Almost same' as jaran kepang performer. Well, if you hear from the real dancer perform it, you Will not hear a gunshot, but a explosion instead.
It's "JARAN Kepang" bro it's not "JARANG Kepang"

And for karapan sapi is more like an chariot race from roman but with cows and instead on dery land its was on muddy rice paddy field.

@@erinlouise5516Pretty sure the fluff was the end of the whip. It seems to be a whip exclusively used for performances, and intentional slight defects in equipment for dramatic effect is not uncommon in these types of things
If I had to guess, something along the lines of "Wow, he cracked that whip so hard that it started falling apart in his hands!" is probably a somewhat common thing said in shows where it is likely to be used
