That was about as relaxing a video as you'd ever want to watch. No narration but yet informative. I feel confident about taking out the trim. Great scenery as well. Well done!👍
Agree with the location, great place to do an install. Where is this by the way? As for the install, so tedious and lots of removing of trim parts. I'm possibly going to order this, but will forego the side trims and front dash stuff removal steps. I think just having the side mounts and front mount with the bottom bracket will suffice since I only plan on mounting a GoPro and small HAM radio face plate.
Hey Robert, take a look at our new version, it’s a better mount, a little more expensive but the install is much much simpler. You can download the instruction directly from the product page to take a look before hand. www.ics-fab.com/collections/dash-mounts/products/copy-of-colorado-canyon-dash-mount
@@ICSFAB Thanks for the quick response! Instructions look straight forward and easy, but agree much more expensive. Will have to think about this extra cost. Hard to tell at the pictures product page and instructions- Is the new mount level?
@@r0bv123 Yes it’s a multi part assembly, made of thicker material and has threaded nuts pre installed. This new mount is level and at the same height of the previous model. There are some more pictures on Instagram if you have an account.
@@ICSFAB @ICS Looked at the instructions for the new mount. Love it, but will have to pass due to the expensiveness. Anyway I can get $124.49 off; if I make an install video? The mount looks great but it costs more than the CB Radio I plan on putting on it.
How much space do you think is there between the long dash piece you removed and the main dash? I want to install some sound deadening material (it's 4.5mm thick) between those two pieces. Any help will be appreciated.
Why not just use some sturdy adhesive and four suitably chonky self-tapping screws? Should work just fine as long as whatever one mounts is not very heavy.
There is a download link in the product page for the Bose version. Much easier install than this. Thanks for your feedback. There are margins we need to meet to stay in business.

Love the view from the workplace!
Going to swap out the speakers on my Canyon and this video will help me get to them. Thanks!
Great video, excellent detail without a bunch of boring crap
That’s a ton of work for little mount. Lol
Well done video. Love the view from the location where you did the work, and a lot of work it is. Professional, but too much for me.
Well done....thanks for sharing!!
A lot of work just to mount a cell phone.
I would just drill holes in mine and screw it in 🤣 I’m to lazy
I was going to say the same thing
🤦♂️
Thank you for the informative content sir!
Thank you . I just order one 👍👍
Excellent work! New subscriber here!
Any update on a bose version ?
I 2nd that. I love this idea, but I have Bose.
So many vids are made by people who think they get paid by the word. This is my kind of how to video. Letting action speak.
Where did you get the assist handles from?

Not sold anymore?

You may be able to install some on the underside of the long piece.
Ahhhh...the two 8mm bolts in the corners! Damn things are hidden!
