MN Wild fan here. Had to love the white out, the thousands of people watching outside, the Top Gun theme, and the noise. Wow. We proclaim to be the hockey state here in MN. But compared to what I saw, we are not.
Cory Coulter yes i remembered that. It was amazing seeing everyone come together after that. And they were high school kids. I would truly love to go to Canada one day. I want to hunt and fish there and maybe go watch a beer league hockey game.
@CapCityPuck I am a Winnipeg Fan, been one since 1992. Here in the Ottawa area and the amount of love I have got from a city, that is struggling with it's team. Let alone a team struggling with it's management. Is tremendous! That's why Ottawa deserves a team, because of it's capability to stand against adversity. To know even though this season has been troubling. It will get better while lessons are learned through it's transitions, it's important for it's fans to hold true! I want to thank everyone in Ottawa and the fans of the Senators and hockey. For the shared appreciation and this club deserves a modern cup!
I used to think Alanis Morsisette singing at a Ducks/Senators game was the best female performance of the National Anthem during the Stanley Cup. But this girl is growing on me.
Been wondering this since they started doing this years ago. I hate it. Home teams always wore white. I'm a red wings fan and i miss the days of wearing the white sweaters at home at the Joe. Whiteouts are cool too. This isn't football. Bring it back!
Christopher Mulligan i know. But they also switched to white a long time ago. And i prefer the whites. And it's obviously a fan favorite. Well mostly people i know.
Steve Shelton I agree.... I prefer the whites at home. I'm a Hawks fan and growing up in the 80's and 90's finding a home jersey was as hard as the Canucks finding a cup. The NHL wanted to sell their dumb 3RD jerseys so they came up with this scheme to switch between the 2..... It's a sad truth! (in white supremacist voice) If it ain't white it ain't right lol.....
It's too bad honestly that these traditions that jets fans have and other Canadian teams have don't account for actual wins in the postseason otherwise they would probably make it to the conference finals instead of getting eliminated in the quarters every other year
I'm not a Canadian. But there's nothing like hearing the Canadian anthem, and hearing the crowd sing it in unison before a playoff game. Very well done Winnipeg and all Canadians.
