I met alex g a couple hours after this set. I was alone, away from the major stages and he was walking by with his band. I told him he did an awesome job. He walked over to me and thanked me, and i told him he was my favorite artist. He tried to read my gosha shirt and told me he had been learning russian on his phone. His band members had left him but we had a five minute convo. I didnt ask for a picture, i thought it'd be dehumanizing
I've learned the hard way that the personal experience is much more rewarding than asking for a picture and rupturing whatever chance you have at living in a real moment with that individual. Good call m8
i met him last year in berlin and the guy was so genuine and nice

@@AliciaSanchez-db7ls Well I don't feel so bad now. I agree and hope to see him one day with a good crowd as well. I think perhaps many people at ACL didn't know of him too well as opposed to an actual venue where the people who go have the intention and know who he is. The musical exploration aspect of festivals probably had a lot to do with this. He did play fairly early in the day too if I remember correctly.
