I did this about a year ago and I separated the shades into color groups and I was so surprised at how many similar colors there were between the palettes.
I would love to see this concept as a video! I only have one ND palette so I can’t make it, but I hope someone else does!
I was kinda thinking that when I saw all the pans on the table, and I'm a little more confident now that I don't need Bronze or My Dream Palette (I also don't have Pastel, but I almost never wear brighter pastel shades). Between all the other palettes, I've got enough similar shades to the shades I'd use from My Dream and Bronze that they'd just be redundant for me.
Absolutely! I have all but one of the midis en four of the larger ones, and there are a lot of similar browns and rosy tones

Even the mini palettes have colors very similar to each other but I still like them 😂😊
actually wanted to comment that i depotted my kaleidos escape pod and club nebula palettes, attached those magnetic stickers, and the pans fit in these hard-plastic ND midi palettes!! just another option if you wanted to expand your color selection for these ND midis
@@daumelinchen4607 had to do it verrry carefully and lift the cardboard layer by layer! then i used a makeup spatula (kind of like those paint knives) to lift the pans up from the base cardboard
YESSSS. I am currently working on a 35 paper paper for law school and yesterday I got way too stressed, broke down and… depotted my entire eyeshadow collection LOL. honestly was so cathartic. this was so perfectly timed 😂

Sharon, you’ll do great! Us makeup creatives are smart cookies and you just need a lil push to remind you of how capable you are. I know your field of study is hard af. But you’re smart af so whoever you will be turning your hard work into; they will have the HNOUR of reading your paper. You’ve got this. The fact that you have taken on and already are doing a THIRTY FIVE legal paper is an accomplishment in and of itself! You’ve got brains, lady. Biiiggg time

I enjoy watching this and also mixing up singles like this. I wish ND had a similar system like lethal cosmetic where you can build your custom palette with singles from all her available eyeshadows.

Me too!! It had everything you need, warm, neutral, cool, greens and mauves! She was right it looked like a Viseart palette. I LOVE the color story of Viseart but do not like the formula. I would buy the pallet Lauren created in a heartbeat
Me too. I have mini glam, mini biba and mini nude and been eyeing the bigger palettes since forever. I haven't bought any, because at this price I want to love all of the shades and all of the colour story, and be able to use all of the shades (and also not have that many repeats from things I already own). The new Metropolis is just studding. I'd absolutely buy it.

The Retro Glam palette looks SO SO SO much better out of the package. I never would have considered getting it the way it comes.... but against that white background i'd totally consider it!

What you created with these palettes is alot better than the originals in most cases. Also I love the clean aesthetic of this video, no distracting jewelry, nails or sleeves, so minimal and relaxing to the eye. :)

I was originally going to do Pat McGrath for the next three months just because I feel like I don’t use mine enough but I have pretty much every Natasha palette and this just inspired me to use my Natasha pallets for the next couple months because when you see the colors rearrange like this, it just makes you fall in love with it all over again, you know what I mean. I loveee these types of videos.

I own some denona but i play WAY more with my colourpop shadows, too. I make 9 pan palettes, and 12 pan palettes, and 16 pan palettes, and 30 pan palettes in colourpop shells, and rarely mix other brands in an empty palette, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I am so glad you always mention the ND palettes being disassemble-friendly. I dropped my only ND palettes, just a little 5 pan, on the counter & my heart broke when the pans tumbled out. Then I remembered you saying that, and just put them back in, but in the order I use them lol. I definitely "fluffed up" the shimmers when they fell, but everything was intact and fine.
I love the inspirations you use and your thought process with creating. So much fun to live vicariously through your vids in the ND universe 🤣

I love that first palette you put together so much!! I still haven't done this with my ND palettes, but one of my favorite pastimes when I need a creative distraction is using the palette builder on Lethal Cosmetics' site and building custom palettes there. One of my favorites that I ever built has a very similar color story to your first one condensed down to 12 shades 🥰 you've inspired me to build some more and finally do this with my ND palettes

This is kinda making me want to play around rearranging my Natasha Denona palettes again. I swapped some shades around in Metropolis and Zendo earlier this year (I wanted all the blues and greens together because I thought they'd work well together, and Metropolis had some warm neutrals that work well with the other shades in Zendo), and I rearranged Circo Loco because it looks nicer when colours are grouped together rather than jumbled up. I left all my other palettes intact but now I want to see what I can do with them, especially now that I have Retro Glam.

Hi Lauren I loved this video, next time please will you literally make "Your Dream Palette" taking like your favourite 3 shadows from each palette and seeing what that would look like as a whole and then maybe edit it to create a more "useable" palette as I'm guessing the first one would be so many shimmers lol. And just for fun would you create a palette that if you had the chance to actually release it, what would the Lauren Mae palette look like? Only using ND shades and then maybe another version using any and all of your single shadows that you can rearrange in a magnetic palette. That would be so fun to see! Also you can use the video to look back on to see how your preferences have changed over time. Thanks xxx
