Small suggestion : while revving up the engine from stop , please cut the background music and don’t do any talking so that we can listen to the engine and understand the NVH levels in the car.

Hello brother, based on your requirements it's better to go with the Amaze as it is build safe which is equivalent to 4 star rating, has all the required safety features, a spacious in the interiors and the engine is super refined with required fuel efficiency.
Nice review. But we expect diesel engine review. Review is very lengthy. 15 mins is average. Compare amaze vs desire.
Diesel test drive car was not available with the dealership and also the market is now moving forward with Petrol engines. Since we are mentioning all required areas we are unable to keep the time under 15 mins.

I watch car reviews regularly in auto portal, carnbikes, overdrive etc.. thought sometime why not in our language... day by day the quatily of presenting is increasing.. Happy for you guys.. keep up the good work... just a suggestion, while presenting the driving and performance place the camera in the front dashboard corner (opposite to passenger seat) I think that will give good angle instead from rear seat.. Previous generation Civic is a niche product and is a great car to take into pocession. But the age, poor ground clearance and the upkeep costs of such an old product is a concern.
Be practical and buy the more younger City. It's always economical to maintain a manual car than a CVT

No such news is mentioned officially by the government.
Diesel engine will make sense if your monthly usage will be more than 1500 kms.
Otherwise Petrol engine is the choice

The Diesel i-DTEC is not a refined unit. But it's Drivable, powerful in the mid range but noisy. Fuel efficiency will be around 17 kmpl overall. Will improve in Highways.
The Diesel has a CVT option in a lower power and Torque figures

Nice to see you guys after long time! I drove my friend's Jazz and felt the car underpowered in city driving conditions, I had to rev the engine to 2.5 to 3K RPM (4 ppl on board) to get going, but it was free-revving. I feel that's why Honda engines are less fuel-efficient than comparable Suzuki's engines in city. But push of ivtec engine on highway is on another level, what a gem!
That's because of the gear ratios. Yes you are right. Low fuel efficiency is due to the high revvs which is required to keep the car going. But it's revv friendly and the mid range is absolutely top class.

Diesel CVT will be efficient. But it is available on the detuned version of the 1.5L i-DTEC with low power and torque figures, noisy and not refined as the Petrol CVT

Even though the Altroz is a well built car with Top class platform and handling characteristics, it lacks the engine performance due to the lackluster engine.
So at this point of time Amaze will be the best choice for the practicality and engine performance.
Please at the end try to do comparison between theri competitors like Amaze vs Tigor Vs Aspire. So people can decide which is better for what reason otherwise nice review.

Brother, myself (Asir) have Cruise control in my Fiesta and I've driven some 80K kms in 4 yrs and the cruise control I would have used will be some 2Kms. Cruise control is not auch useful feature in our Indian everyday usage conditions.

Yes, Amaze 1.2 is underpowered a bit. If you need your priorities you mentioned, Dzire 90 ps will be thd best choice

Regarding the used car, both the cars are great cars in their own right. Do check the car for mechanical defects, also if it is accident free, well maintained. Pick the one which is best.
