- Kaila and Drew Schock lived through a double tragedy. First, their 18-month-old son Ezra drowned in a pond at his grandmother's house. Then, less than a year later, their 8-month-old daughter Uri lost her life after being left in a hot car for hours by the same grandmother. Now, Tracy Nix has been charged with aggravated manslaughter in the death of baby Uri. The grieving parents say they want justice even if it means sending Nix to jail.
As a grandmother, I’d never trust myself to watch a grand baby again, after the first death. Even if they asked 😢
Even if it was an accident, I'm glad as a grandmother you would step up and say that. I'm a mother of an 18 and a 16 year old right now. And if that were to happen to me, I would say the same thing
So the 1st death was no punishment on grandmother? Its the 2nd death that got her?
Good thinking 🙏🏿✨
I get why they gave her a 2nd chance. People make mistakes and they forgave her. It's all very sad. I have always been paranoid about leaving my child in the car especially when I lived in Tucson.
Same. I could ever forgive myself
I trust my mom with my life, but it'd only take one death for that to end. Leaving a second child with her is unimaginable.
Exactly. Something off about this situation

@@mobutter2879 yeah, they're all sinister 😬
Giving Grandma the benefit of the doubt I'd say it's probably early onset dementia. We had a few incidents with both of my wife's grandparents and had to stop letting them care for the grandkids. Wasn't anything malicious on their part they were just getting sick. They've both since passed away from dementia. One of the saddest things I've ever seen next to cancer.
The 3 year old dying in the pond doesn't add up. A pond is sloped even assuming the child is crawling they had to crawl into the water deeper and deeper on purpose without stopping. Don't buy it.
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep Young children can drown in as little as an inch or two of water, and it can happen quickly and silently.
I wouldn't be so sure that it explains this case though. So many things don't add up.
@@WaterspoutsOfTheDeep he was 16 months old and couldn't walk. Once he crawled to the edge of the pond, he tumbled in and didn't know how to swim. Drowning doesn't take a lot of water.
i think so too. i mean wow, this is too much. she can only be a pure psychopath or she has dementia? neither one is good
Has anyone considered that maybe grandma may suffer from some dementia or age telated memory loss? In both cases, she kind of forgot she was ‘on duty’. There may be medical reason, not a deliberate criminal action.
She was a retired school principal. She knew how important it is to take care of kids. Makes me wonder if there were any issues during the time she was a principal.

Maybe it was due to age, no one knows.

Something about this whole situation seems odd. The parents not grieving nor showing emotion and talking like this is just something that always happen and the grandma smiling in her mug shot is weird. The entire family needs to be investigated throughly
Exactly my thoughts.... it seems nobody is really grieving for the small babies... The grandmother is creepy with that weird smile. The parents' behaviour seem fake.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought so too. I get being in shock, but seeing this is the 2nd child they lost, they seem oddly calm.

@@JessicacaHabeth yeah, they should both get fixed so they can't have kids again. And they should get charged for child neglect or something because one time should've been enough for them to realize grandma shouldn't be trusted with kids anymore.
No no.
The mother and grandmother both have a mental situation going on... It's hard for her to even pull a tear out. So sad 😢
I didn't cry at my grandfather funeral either, but I missed him dearly. People over here be speculating and making conspiracy theory because someone didn't cry, that's so disrespectful.
Spot on
The father didn’t even cry, why is the mother the only “mental” one?
Yes, maybe early onset dementia or she's had the jab/s which causes forgetfulness. I've seen this in my Mom (they're the same age) since she's had the jabs. :(
Maybe she isn't comfortable with showing her emotions in public?
I know I don't and when my severely autistic brother passed away I was utterly devastated, I cried like hell, I screamed for hours. But still, when the funeral came and I was surrounded by people I felt numb and couldn't shed a single tear.
But it doesn't mean people don't feel anything, some of us just feel unsafe being emotional in front of strangers.
As a mother, I’m not leaving my child with their grandmother after the first death. We’re not just talking about a little boo-boo. We’re talking about a life that was taken away from poor actions. Wouldn’t have been me the second go round. I’m sorry, RIP to the little angels. 🙏🏾

Accidents don't happen twice. That's malicious negligence. Two children died here.
Even IF the first one was a mistake... Could you really ever leave your children with them again?! WTF. I would never!
my mind goes straight to early dementia or alzheimer’s. I think it could explain how a well respected principal comes to this but also how she was willing to trust herself with another after the first tragedy
I'm wondering this too. Dementia can sneak up so slowly that you don't quite notice at first.
yep. you can't be this forgetful unless you have some health issues.
Yes. And she also managed to somehow raise her own daughter well and not neglect her... I highly doubt that she did any of this on purpose. I feel terribly for everyone involved, but also the grandmother. I honestly can't see her mother murdering her grandchildren in cold blood. It just doesn't make sense to me.
But can anyone explain why she's smiling in her mugshot and clearly hasn't shed a tear? Surely she didn't already forget she had just murdered yet another grandchild?? Either way, that's not the face you make when you're "completely devastated" as her lawyers claim.

This reminds me of my grandma. She’s super addicted to her depression/anxiety pills and they basically knock her out every time, and it take quite a lot to wake her up. She was supposed to be watching my younger cousins but completely disregarded them, took her pills, and was knocked out for hours. My uncle came home to his two daughters (ages 6 & 5) playing unsupervised in the front yard. And there’s a major town road right out front. The girls could’ve ran into the road or someone could’ve snatched them up. Terrible. Don’t leave your kid’s with grandparents that can barely care for themselves.
(PS- I see the comments and I’d like to say my grandmother is in her 60s and is relatively healthy, she’s just a pill addict)

Heartbreaking some people dont deserve children or grandchildren💔rest in peace ezra and uri 🕊
Them giving her a second chance is mind blowing 💔
Parents need to be held accountable as well
Thank you! They definitely don’t appear too distressed.
For what? They didn’t do anything. There’s no law broke and no offense to charge them with
@Blue Blue u want them to crawl on all four and cry?
@Anna Crunkleton they left a second child in the care of an incompetent person for a hair appointment. The actual mother should be criminally punished not to the grandmother!
no they dont they needed help some parents want to go on tht date have alone time .... so no
Unbelievable.
prayers.
My heart breaks for this family. You can see the hurt this grandmother has caused. I will not bash the mom and dad for letting grandma watch the babies. This daughter clearly loves her mother. She trusted her mom as all of us daughters do. I hope this woman does serve time in jail. My heart and prayers go out to this family. Nobody should ever have to bury their children
No tears, no real emotions, something doesn't add up
literally
Their proably in shock- n not everybody reacts to death the same way-!
You can see that the parents look miserable though
It's shock more often than not.
@@ordinarydragon8764 they’re **
Not everyone grieves the same way
how could you leave a kid in the care of her again after the first time ☹️ that’s on the parents and her
I hope these parent stop having babies.
@@gracejones2831 seriously, they’re clearly negligent and it’s disgusting
@@gracejones2831 same.
I wouldn't trust them with a kitten
It can happen I mean that is her mum. You all should understand.
@@emeksb4823 i really don’t understand, if somebody clearly proves once that they can’t keep your child safe from harm and DEATH, they shouldn’t ever be alone with another child without supervision
OMG this is absolutely Devistating! Those poor parents :(
RIP to those 2 Babies.
As she should be👏👏👏👏 r.i.p to those beautiful babies
Oh my god. This is horrific. Even if it was a genuine mistake, I don’t think I would ever be able to forgive her. This is so terrible and I hope this couple heals :(
How can it be a genuine mistake TWICE?!
If it was dementia she should be forgiven- it does seem like dementia.
They most likely killed the babies for insurance money. 🤷🏽♀️
@@themoonatnight1868 exactly, there's no excuse for this
Well if you don't forgive others God will not forgive you also. Read the bible.
Is it just me or did the parents reaction seem incredibly insincere? If I had lost my son, especially if I had lost a second maybe in a similar way I would be breaking down recalling it on tv
No, it’s not just you. Normally, I try not to overanalyze the presentation of someone’s grief, but in this case it’s just really off. Like you said, they seem incredibly insincere about a double tragedy that would break most people beyond repair.
I scrolled and scrolled looking for this comment to make sure I wasn’t the only one. Something is off with them…
No, I thought the very same thing. Something is very off about those babies' mother. It's as if she's pretending to act distraught.
Definitely off.
Why is the grandma smiling in her mugshot?
This is just terribly sad all the way around.
This is something no one can move on from and would make people who experienced this depressed, suicidal or insane.
I am surprised the couple could still manage to talk.
This is a nightmare. Poor parents.
As an infant in my grandmother's care I aspirated a little spit up and couldn't breathe for a moment. My grandma, a mother of 8, was so frightened by it that she didn't want to tend me anymore. I can't believe this woman trusted herself enough to care for another baby after her negligence took the first one. Just an awful, awful situation.
Sooo sad😢.
My heart breaks for everyone in this case. 😢
I am a grandmother and I would have NEVER babysat. Alone. Again.
Never
You’re a good and loving grandmother then! Totally agree with you that I would be way too afraid to watch another kid ever again.
The grandfather was home as well. No mention in this interview.
I really have no words. My hearts go out to the parents
So sad smh
The most shocking part about this video is the complete lack of emotion from the parents as they were describing both of their children being killed. What the actual fk?!?!?!
What if she is in the early stages of dementia. It would explain why she is constantly forgetting things. My friends mom was watching her son and ended up leaving him out side in Florida and in the sun. Thankfully her husband was home and asked where the baby was. He did obtain a severe sunburn but was ok. A few months later they discovered she was in early stages of dementia.
"The saddest thing about betrayal is that it never comes from your enemies, it comes from those you trust the most"
Betrayal by definition can't be from an enemy. Because you wouldn't trust an enemy and you cannot be betrayed by an enemy.
It’s not a betrayal if she has dementia, hitch seems likely.
This must be such a traumatic event for the family and such a tragic incident too
Omg that's so awful!
