While I don’t mind the space barge mode, I will definitely say that the alternate mode looks way better on the Soundblaster figure. The black and red honestly make the space barge mode feel more intimidating.
Yeah, the Earthrise/Netflix one is styled after the Masterpiece whereas Siege is more like an uncomfortably more jaggedy interpretation. I feel like that doesn't make sense but either way it's different enough for me to definitely prefer the new one.
I wish I could find it in a Wal-Mart, I've checked five different stores and all I find is alot of siege leftovers, and I'm not paying online prices for my nephews birthday present

the only thing i hate about this figure is im unlikely to ever be able to get one and although the siege figure is cool id rather have this if i had to pick one
my one major complaint with this figure is in regards to the forearms; why does Soundwave still have the massive hidden blade style wrist cannons? For siege they made sense as the guns on spaceship mode, but why are they on the Netflix one? The only purpose they serve is to lock the arms together but the pegs on the back already locked them in secure as is, so they just look totally out of place. The guns themselves are also molded in gunmetal gray as opposed to the gray on the rest of the arms, making them look even more like an afterthought.
I hope they re-release this later on so we can get a better chance of getting it outside of just one chain of stores. I know Wal-Marts are everywhere nowadays, but it's annoying to have to fight scalpers to get it, too. It's almost as bad as the Walgreen's exclusives.

On the other hand, every Ravage except masterpiece is pretty much weird. Unfortunately, It's a damned exclusive. And I live in Sweden. So I guess I'll get it massively marked up on E-bay…

I mean...it looks nice, a great neo-G1 toy. But I have a reissue g1. Masterpiece. RED. Siege. I have my bases covered. A pass for me only because I have every iteration I need for now. Wouldn't mind that laserbeak, though.
Actually, its a nice set of figures. Siege Soundwave's okay, but marred by the gunk. Still can't fathomed why they though mucking up figures was a good idea. Still.... Not terribly tempted atm.
I'm starting to wonder if I just don't like Ravage. It sounds like blasphemy to say it, though, because I love Soundwave and every other cassette he has. The closest I've come to liking a Ravage toy was Energon Battle Ravage, and that doesn't count. Maybe "the good ones" just slipped by me over the years.

If you use rubbing alcohol and have patience and time on your side, the weathering can be removed.
