RED BTS | Rose de Chine 凉风抚心 | DP Hugo Boué

"Rose from China," known as "Rose de Chine" in French and 凉风抚心, is a captivating short film crafted by Hugo Boué, who served as both Director and Director of Photography. Boué used the V-RAPTOR 8K VV and the KOMODO-X, alongside the Angénieux Optimo Prime series, to achieve stunning visual results. This 35-minute short tale unfolds against the picturesque backdrop of the south of France, featuring the talents of Chinese actress Xin Wang, alongside Sunny Wong and Arnaud Cance. The trailer for this film will debut at this year's Cannes Film Festival as part of the Pierre Angénieux Tribute.
Based on a true meditation practice, the main theme of the film is forgiveness and our inner connection to God.
Synopsis: A man who just lost his pregnant wife in a car accident will encounter a young, enlightened Chinese girl who will try to teach him meditation and help him heal from this grief.
