    I am in awe........I just need to lay down all my tools and quit the rc game. That was simply amazing. This craftsman is a true artist and I can't show enough respect. My hat is off to you. Please don't mind the bloody flesh in the back of my head because that is evidence that my mind is blown. Awesome.

    and your two motors seem to be fixed/ connected together on the same drive pinion gear, am I correct? So there is just two motors for power, it would have been possible to use one large motor, correct?

    • @dubok78
      @dubok78  7 лет назад

      All right, two motors rotate one gear.
      First there was one big motor, but its power was not enough. And I had to make another drive scheme.

  • @bigbattenberg
    @bigbattenberg 7 лет назад +1

    my "craftsmanship" comment I posted when I was not even halfway through the video. The second part: Wow. Mind blown. Btw, on my channel there is an animation of the Cletrac differential steering system.

    • @dubok78
      @dubok78  7 лет назад

      I decided to do just such a scheme with a differential, it is simple and cheap (relatively).

    • @bigbattenberg
      @bigbattenberg 7 лет назад +1

      Yes, it's a very effective system. I Always like simple ingenious stuff! I had to make the animation because it wasn't there on the Internet. This "Cletrac" system has been used a lot, probably there are still tracked vehicles being built new using it. Nice thing is that the vehicle doesn't reduce power to the two shafts conbined (one slows down, the other speeds up) -- they call this "regenerative". The invention is almost 100 years old.

    • @bigbattenberg
      @bigbattenberg 7 лет назад +1

      I am working on my Tamiya Gepard... I already made a custom "dual motor" gearbox many years ago, which works fine but I would like to do a redesign. I am looking into brushless "outrunner" high torque motors along with LiPo battery. Although cost may be prohibitive. I will post a video on this gearbox soon.

    the guy with a laser cutter calls it home made....
    we need to start coining a new word for people who have a home lab!
    I have a home lab but do not have a laser cutter.. I have a CNC machine but would not call anything I made in my hobby "HOMEMADE"
    Homemade implies common tools and cutters plotter, cnc, laser cutter, and 3d printers are not exactly common place just yet...
    Other htan that, great job...

    • @tannermarlow5162
      @tannermarlow5162 7 лет назад

      to me homemade implies made at home and in no way alludes to lack of tools, skills, or advanced methods of making said item.

    • @tankkiler308
      @tankkiler308 5 лет назад

      Everything they made here can be made with hand tools, it would take years instead of months to make but can be done. It was just accelerated due to higher efficiency tools.
