This reminds me of GFRIEND! I'm so happy a newer group is taking on their legacy and I'm sure they'll be a great successor for GFRIEND. There will never be a next GFRIEND, but they're so sweet and cute and I can see them keeping the GFRIEND legacy alive

@@mcgc93 a log of groups do not debut with this kind of concept 😭 no one really does it anymore because the gp doesn’t care too much for concepts like this groups like Elris/Former Fromis_9/S.I.S/DIA/DreamNote haven’t been able to reach the gp as much as groups with different concepts. It was more popular when GFriend was doing it, but they managed to get a few hits out of it. I’m glad there’s one more group doing this concept though

@@mcgc93It's a lot more than just cute school girl concept. It's a specific flavour of the cute concept. It's equal parts fresh, youthful, uplifting and sentimental. It's fleshed out, soaring melodies with rich harmonies and a light orchestral touch, rather than bubblegum pop with cutesy catchphrases and repetitive hooks (not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's distinctly different.) It's a specific style and sound that used to be known as "power innocence" back in the day and GFriend and Lovelz were most known for it. There hasn't really been anything like this in recent years. Even CSR's followup Loveticon doesn't quite hit the mark.

their company are lowkey genius. Every songs in the album include the words "cheot sarang" and "jirit jirit" plus the words "jirit jirit" almost sound like "chil-i, chil-i" or "7272" in korean. Their album name is Sequence 7272. One of their song is title 72.72H and the song in korean is titled as Yeol-Il-Geub or 17 which btw are = all the members age.

Literally no group has gotten the level of popularity BTS got regardless of company size but there are plenty of groups from small companies that created extremely stable and large fan-bases and essentially grew their companies to an impressive degree themselves.
RBW was pretty small at the time of Mamamoo’s debut but I don’t think anyone would call them underrated at this point; Oh My Girl’s company was still very small when they debuted (and before their RBW merger it kind of still was) but Oh My Girl is one of the most popular groups domestically; Chung Ha was and is part of a company that had basically no name recognition (because she’s their first artist) but her popularly and the success of the company so far is due to good management and promotion decisions (including the decision to have her compete on Produce 101). Then you have companies like Woolim and Source. It’s a Hybe subsidiary NOW but when GFriend debuted, they were Source’s first group and the popularity GF gained single-handedly assured the future of the company and gave them the room to grow into what they are now - we really need to acknowledge more that GFriend was super popular and not actually that underrated domestically. Then Woolim was representing legendary artists but not mainstream artists with mainstream budgets - Infinite’s popularity pushed woollim into the mainstream and now they can sustain pretty decent budgets and promotions for multiple groups at once rather than just a few solo artists. On a smaller but similar scale there’s groups like Dreamcatcher! They’re technically underrated (or maybe just underappreciated in the mainstream) but they’ve grown their company a lot. Happy face wasn’t big but they were stable before them with Dal Shabet but Dreamcatcher’s fan base is so dedicated that they’ve actually grown despite the difficulties Happyface encountered after the loss of their most stable group and after YG canceled the Mixnine group after their trainee ranked 1st. You can imagine it takes a lot of work and results for your company to literally rename themselves after your group and now Happy Face Entertainment is Dreamcatcher Company.
The reason nearly 100 idol groups debut each year is because it’s _not_ impossible for one group to change the trajectory of an entire company

I only learned about this group recently when they performed gfriend songs, and started going through their debut song. Honestly, it really gives me the same vibes and excitement when I first heard Gfriend songs. Its so fun to listen to, so refreshing and the girls are eye catching, btw. We need this kind of music nowadays. Unfortunately, this may become underrated since only few audiences can appreciate this kind of genre esp. if they are not from the big companies. Anyways, just continue working on your dreams, just what like gfriend have done from the past 6 years.. Stay humble and be kind to all the people that surrounds you and focus on your goals. All your hard works will eventually pay off and you can also build an empire of your own.

i've heard of CSR in nugurpromoter twt and i've been keeping an eye on them, especially when a rumor circulated that lee yoonsang will produce their debut song (just a rumor). but this is only the time i had the chance to watch their MV completely (i've listened to a bit of the chorus on some twt vids). you see, i'm a big fan of Lovelyz ever since pre-debut, and when they disbanded, i was so heartbroken that i had to cry for a month and i haven't moved on until now. i was so scared to listen to CSR's debut song because i might have a very nostalgic moment again and remind me of when i was so hyped in Lovelyz debut and i might cry again. i am a fan of ILY:1 though, and i know that they're already nicknamed 4th gen innocent-dols by most k-netz but since a lot of people in twt say this song reminds them a lot of Lovelyz music, i hesitated at first. but now here i am, listening, and tearing up a bit. nostalgia hit me hard, i was right: this song reminds me a lot of Lovelyz's innocence and i had to cry for a moment.
this song is so good, and even though a lot of people say that we need a lot of this kind of refreshing and innocent concept especially in 4th gen music, we can't deny the fact that this is the genre that is mostly overlooked by most fans, especially new stans and internationally. i honestly hope CSR will make it big, locally and internationally. Lovelyz failed to make it 'big' internationally (while they are successful in SK) and i really wish people will appreciate this kind of music more. i'll be updated to a lot more of CSR music in the near future.
