These earrings at 14:55 are iconic! Great video, as always. 👍
The trains aren’t driverless. There is a small drivers cab at the front of the train.
Mooie compilatie.
they arent self driving its just the cab only covers half the train
These particular trains are past their USE BY date and the network is currently in the process of being drip fed new trains built in Switzerland. They are gradually being phased in and the old ones out.@@fin720s
Tyne & Wear Metro is not self-driving, firstly the signalling used on the Tyne & Wear Metro makes it not possible to be self-driving since Tyne & Wear Metro uses a modified version of PZB signalling which uses standard British rules and signals. Also, Network Rail the owner of the track between Pelaw and Bede/South Hylton requires all trains to have a driver in the cab. Also the Tyne & Wear Metro has got a few level crossings which would not be permitted on a self driving network. The Tyne & Wear Metro uses a non-standard voltage of 1.5kv DC in the OLE, the standard in the Great Britain is 25kv ac 50hz in the OLE.
