This talk emphasised, to me, the shortcomings of our educational system, being very much in the mind and how we project ourselves, losing sight of our true essence. Of course his talk was more than just that, that for me stuck.

I have no patience, I don't mediate and yes the mind does wanders, I guess lots of people don't mediate either, people just rather fall a sleep.
I didn`t know you before this video, I realized a lot. are you a Buddha? you are explaining the concepts of the enlightenment in such a simple way that I never have heard before. Now I understand what is the meaning of compassion when Osho talks about it. It is not feeling sorry for other poor people.on the contrary, it is feeling oneness. not me nor another party is inferior. Thank you
If I may be so bold as to offer a few words...... Teachers don't generally say "Yes, I'm a Buddha" if asked. But I heard Ajahn Achalo (on "Insight Timer" app - good, and free!) say the Dalai Lama regards even people like Donald Trump, or Chinese prison guards, as potential Buddhas - they're just confused and messed up. You may find there are plenty of teachers from various traditions, Theravada Buddhist, Tibetan, USA Insight Meditation schools, etc., who give clear and supportive guidance like Gelong Thubten. Btw, I went to that Scottish island too (it's called Holy Island, just off Arran, and is an offshoot of Samye Ling Centre in Dumfriesshire) - but only for a weekend retreat ;-) Best wishes.

Thanks for the video. I like how Gelong Thubten shares his experiences and insights so genuinely in this talk. This video is motivating for me to start meditating consistently. I am planning on meditating 1 hour every day for 2020, recording myself and making weekly time-lapse videos explaining the different meditation technique I used for the week and my day to day experience. I hope I can communicate the information in my future videos as well as you did in this one.
Meditation is a commitment to a spiritual act which is connecting you to your source, where the price of that connection must be the willingness to give up some concept of yourself where what you gain exceeds what you lose. This is the paradox of clearing the lines to that spiritual connection. This is why compassion is both a precursor and result of meditation because they are mutually compatible as to their unconditional nature...
I truly enjoyed this vid, the message and the calm composure of Gelong is very soothing. I got away with a good practice to allowing in events and not fight it and this does keeps me in the moment. THANK YOU for that :)

Meditation and mindfulness is life
It takes time but you start observing
Thanks for the video. I like how Gelong Thubten shares his experiences and insights so genuinely in this talk. This video is motivating for me to start meditating consistently. I am planning on meditating 1 hour every day for 2020, recording myself and making weekly time-lapse videos explaining the different meditation technique I used for the week and my day to day experience. I hope I can communicate the information in my future videos as well as you did in this one.
Thank you from my soul to yours. Love one, love all ♥️
Meditation is a commitment to a spiritual act which is connecting you to your source, where the price of that connection must be the willingness to give up some concept of yourself where what you gain exceeds what you lose. This is the paradox of clearing the lines to that spiritual connection. This is why compassion is both a precursor and result of meditation because they are mutually compatible as to their unconditional nature...
the ultimate goal of all meditation is formless awareness
Many thanks for all the free videos, much appreciated
I truly enjoyed this vid, the message and the calm composure of Gelong is very soothing. I got away with a good practice to allowing in events and not fight it and this does keeps me in the moment. THANK YOU for that :)
