#1 reason why I love Nintendo: Creative art styles. This looks beautiful and probably will STILL look great 10 years from now. Can't say that about most games. Nintendo's past games have aged really well.

I absolutely love nintendo games because that's exactly what they are.. games. I've gone through Diablo phases and counter strike phases, halo, madden, nba 2k, ninja gaiden, and any Star wars game phase but no matter what I end up back playing nintendo. Nintendo is so perfect at giving us an experience that is genuinely fun and creative as opposed to an addicting reality distorter. Now I love to get lost in days weeks and months of a level up game like Diablo or Skyrim but the most fun I ever have is when I sit down and play a platformer or any of nintendo classics and get back down to the basics of gaming with hilariously epic moments in the simplest of games. I always read people bashing on nintendo and I truly feel sorry for them because they have lost what true gaming is all about and that is having fun for the sake of fun, not having fun because something is "cool" or "adult enough". I love Xbox, play station and many pc games in their own way but nintendo will always win the award for brining me the most absolute overall joy to my life hands down.

The truth is that I have never have so much joy as a player and with my friends as with a Nintendo console.
I have all the Playstations except for 4 and I can't think a single game that I could enjoy with my friends. Sure, they have deep gameplay, storylines and sometimes better graphics and I love to play those games, but something is missing in order to fully enjoy the experience. On the other hand, Nintendo always brings joy in gaming with titles like Donkey Kong, Mario, Zelda, etc. Mario Kart and Mario Party were our favorites to hang out.
I don't know if it is the nostalgic factor (being an 80's kid) but I think Nintendo have been doing something right all these years that other companies cannot figure it out yet. I say is Nintendo magic.

Well because YNI wasn't every fun, was WAY too easy, and had crummy bosses. It was kind of fun to play on your own spare time, but definitely not worth the 40$
NintenPLUSH Clearly you weren't trying to collect everything. That's where the challenge comes in, and if you unlock the special stages, then you know how hard the game can be.
However, the bosses are a bit poorly-thought out.
Funny how this game's graphical style looks WAAAAY better than Little Big Planet 3's.

***** LBP3 doesn't look any better on PS4 than on PS3. The only difference whatsoever is that Sackboy has better eye reflectivity in the PS4 version. No textures, resolution, or animations were changed, meaning that, while it does not outperform PS4, something which does not need to be pointed out to me, it does outperform LBP3, which is a 7th gen game.

Yoshi's Woolly World is 60 fps, LBP3 has a messy framerate. So yes, this game is superior.
Seems like a mix between Yoshi's Story and Kirby's Epic Yarn. I can't wait!

Greenguy4301 Um i think that Mario sunshine 2 is unlikely, since the original Super mario Sunshine was released 12 years ago. Although it's possible we might see a remake of the original super mario Sunshine.

***** I guess you haven't seen the critical acclaim Epic Yarn has gotten. In fact, I enjoyed it alot more than I enjoyed Return To Dream Land.
***** To alot of people, it does come close to being a top Wii game. It was fresh and original, the level designs were clever, and the music was very calm and laid back. When I look at RTDL, it feels and plays like a traditonal Kirby game, but it adds nothing new other than Super Abilities. Which are cool the first few times you use them, but they get REAL tiresome after a while. Super Abilities were no more than just one attack, simple cutscenes gimmicks.. Of course, I think Triple Deluxe is the better sequel to RTDL. In fact, I love Triple Deluxe alot more than Epic Yarn. Due to the creative use if 3D for the levels, enemies, and boss battles

Meanwhile, every 3rd person, 1st person, sports game and fighting game released on todays market is snapped up like a vaccum cleaner on dirt as if it's brand new.
Sony released Crash 1, 2 and 3 all for just one console. They released Spyro 1, 2 and 3 all for just one console, the same console as Crash. They released Jak, 1, 2 and 3 all for one console. They released god knows how many Ratchet games for that console too.
They've released 4 Uncharted games for 1 console.
There have been roughly 7 ish 3D GTA console games released since 1999.
We've had 3 Batman Arkham games release in one generation. We've had 3 Bioshock games released in one generation (that were also rehashes of the System Shock series). We're up to like Assassins Creed 6 or 7 in one generation.
Then there are all the countless other titles that ape each other and release every 2 months in each year.
Zelda has had 5 main console games released since 1998 (Ocarina, Majora's, Wind Waker, Twilight, Skyward). Mario has had just 4 mainline 3D platformer console games released since 1996 (SM64, Sunshine, Galaxy, Galaxy 2).
If you complain about rehashes on Nintendo's part, you need to take closer scrutiny on your own games library. Just because Game A's main characters name is different to Game B's doesn't mean they're any less allowed to fall under scrutiny to that kind of idea.
I own roughly 300 games on Steam. I never feel like playing any of them. I have just over 10 WiiU games. I cherish every one of them and play them regularly.
Don't forget Assassin's Creed Unit- oh sorry for mentioning that.

Nintendo loves their fans and wants to make you happy by putting the best into their games...... without Nintendo we probably wouldn't have any games at all..... we wouldn't have the Play Station, Xbox, Wii/Wii U, DS, Call of Duty, Mario, Assassins Creed,Smash Bros, Sonic and other popular games! Nintendo saved gaming with Mario which yes they have milked it a bit but they're taking care of their problems!

I love the art direction they decided to go with this first Kirby's epic yarn now this plus with the Yoshi's Island like elements I'm simply excited for this game I don't care if it's easy like Kirby's Epic Yarn.

I think it's a nice move, cuz it looks like Nintendo is focusing on a "fabric" theme for their titles. Bear in mind that there is a difference, albeit a subtle difference, between yarn and wool.

The new Zelda for Wii U is not due out until next year too... Did you mean Hyrule Warriors? Just a note of warning that this is not a traditional game, but instead it's Dynasty Warriors with Zelda skin. Sure it's an awesome game that I loved too but also possibly not your daughter's cup of tea. I would recommend Mario 3D world and Mario Kart 8 for a safer bet.

2. There was no news about it after January 23, 2013, until E3 2014 came.
Nintendo holds quarterly investor meetings, and its been on the release list for every single one since January 2013, that's what I'm saying.
I'll Just state the obvious: Kirby's Epic Yarn + Yoshi's Island DS is what this looks like. and it is.
But holy crap it looks almost as adorable as kirby's epic yarn and if it is even 70% as good as that game then i swear to god i will get a wii u just to play it because kirby's epic yarn was super fun and will be even more fun with yoshi. I just hope that it is well thought out and not thrown together like yoshi's new island. plus the amiibo for it will be interesting.

Loved Yoshi Story, gonna get it on VC when it comes out for the Wii U. This game looks fresher than the other Yoshi games and very unique. Despite what people say about the Wii U, it has had great games and flawless backwards compatibility; especially thanks to the hackable Wii Mode and soon-to-be hacked Wii U mode (next month, I believe) that will be awesome.
I am sure NX will be good, but the Wii U will always hold a spot in my heart due to how many platforms you can play on a single console. Its native Gamecube support is a huge highlight that many seem to scoff off, too. The most popular emulator that opens up this hardware supports all accessories and EVERY Gamecube game ever made. So, that's a huge plus.

I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and definitely all for innovation, but I really don't get why people are excited about this game. Visually it looks pretty much exactly like Kirby's Epic Yarn, and from what we see of the gameplay it looks very much like previous Yoshi games. So can someone explain why are people calling this super innovative and creative? I'm not hating on the fans or the game, I'm legitimately just trying to understand the hype, because I, as a huge Nintendo fan, can't see what all the fuss is about.

Not really. KEY was flat, while YWW is in 2.5D and is much more cured (the yarn is waving under their feet). And I don't feel it's like Yoshi games from a gameplay pov either, since there is much more stage interaction.

I don't know about being super "innovative," but I think I know why people are excited, at least. Looks like Kirby's Epic Yarn? That's great news to me because I thought that game was beautiful. Plays like Yoshi? Also great. Yoshi's recent game, Yoshi's New Island, failed to impress many Yoshi fans, so I think many of them are excited to see another game that may "get it right" for them. That's why I'm excited for it anyway.

As for the gameplay stuff, the only really new stuff I saw was coop (which doesn't really seem to change the game itself), making invisible platforms visible, and the fact that the egg (yarn balls?) sometimes leave a tangible cloud behind them. These last two I imagine will get some creative use, particularly in later levels, so I'll give them that, but it doesn't make it feel like a new game, to me. It's more like an HD texture pack for Yoshi's Island with some new things thrown in.
And while yarn Yoshi is cute, it won't sell the game for me. I can get my fix of yarn Yoshi on deviantart if I want to :P (I could probably buy one myself, it'd probably be cheaper and cooler than getting the game :D)
Sir Axelotl You can also launch your friends by eating them and tossing them like eggs. This creates opportunities for hidden areas designed for co-op aiding.
Sir Axelotl really, it is just how subtle it is. It's not going to be groundbreaking. It's not like yoshi games in general were. In other words, this is a standard Yoshi game. The Yarn aesthetic is pretty cool to look.
I hope Yarn spinoffs of Nintendo games become a more frequent thing.

Nintendo have my outmost respect. No brown, grimy bullshitty shooters on Wii-U, just creative, imaginative games with an actual color palette. This is what makes best use of HD, to be honest.
