I used a Neve VR series console before, it has a great sounding EQ section. IMO the EQ is not very precise or surgical, but it has a really nice musical quality to it (which is the only thing that matters). It's good to see this device gaining popularity.
How would you compare this to Neve 8801 channel strip? Are they similar? I sure would like to hear a proper test of the 8801. Great work with the videos btw.
It is a Neve! Is there really any question about flexibility or cleanliness. So many options that further correction is not needed other than some sweetening and a touch of delay for air! Love this company! Can’t go wrong and so flexible is this and why? Duh, it’s a Neve! No explanation is necessary! Lovely video!😊👍🏻
we worked on the neve vr 73 at chung king studios in new york city. The sound is awesome but if you have vision problems you will be frustrated by the small knobs and labels. its so big you have to stand up to mix on it. You pay alot to use this level of gear but the end result is worth it.
one thing I like about this cat is he's not afraid to turn/twist the knob.

didnt really hear the hp or lp filters....¿¿¿¡
This EQ sounds very nice
Again a great video. Could you make a video on insert and send effects of an hardware mixing desk?
That's a good idea! Maybe we will :-)

+nublackmusic Agreed! I always found the one downside to the VR consoles is that all the controls are a bit clustered. What a sound though!
This is fun and great !
how does it differ from the Neve 8801 channel strip?
would this be good on a master bus? or would a vintage 1073/1066/1084 be better? thanks!
If you wanted to use them on the master bus, you'd need a pair of them. They certainly wouldn't be the worst choice though ;)
thanks!
Yeah! Great!
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy
waaoow :D Legend !!!
Probably just me....but that bass drum sounds irredeemably shit from beginning to end.
this is not vintage.. it's just old.
