Great information, thanks for sharing!
Really love the Astroman hoodie when I did the JMT. It's cooler in warm temperature compared to Rab pulse or OR echo. The zip is great for venting.
Yes completely agree. Great hoodie!
Overall, I found the video informative. However, I have two points that I want to raise vis-a-vis you recommending the shoe inserts. You mentioned that the soreness in your knees went away when you use the inserts. My first point is that you should consult a podiatrist as they are the specialist that can prescribe shoe inserts that will be custom made for your feet. The second point is one learned through experience and that is I would caution anyone thinking about buying shoe inserts as using them can cause more harm than good. So back to my first point, I recommend that anyone interested in buying shoe inserts should consult a foot specialist like a podiatrist.
The alpaca hoodie is awesome! I got one. Doesn’t stink, unlike my Patagonia fleece. I don’t wear deodorant and rely on using natural fibers to avoid the stench.
yes, its one of my favorite layering pieces
Great video! 😄 Since you like to bring ferrosi shorts as well, have you thought about getting the ferrosi convertible pants?
i thought about it, and i may try them, but the point in bringing the shorts is i like to jump in lakes, so i like to have something else to where while they dry.
@@BackcountryRenegade ah yeah, that makes sense to have them separate then!
Did all those extra clothes really fit inte the pod? Good work. Some really nice choices there. 👍
Yep everything fits nicely. I do keep my rain jacket on the front pocket for quick access though.
Almost same walking combo for the feet (Injinji liners + Darntough + LP 5) but I'm a bit skeptical regarding the soles: don't they add any drop?
no it just supports the arches of the feet, i have high arches so when i went to zero drop, the lack of support almost made me switch back, but this made it alot more torrerable and eventually much more comfortable.
Hello, two questions, (1) I was wondering how similar is the Astroman Hoodie fabric when compared to the Ferrosi fabric and (2) In terms of sun protection (not weight), would you prefer the Astroman hoodie over the famous Ferrosi hoodie? Thank you very for your time.
hello, the astrorman is meant to be worn even in the heat, it weighs only 5.7 oz, where the ferrosi is more of a jacket that will be way to warm for the hotter days and weighs 13 oz. I would say they are both good but for differet purposes. the the astroman mainly for sun protection on warm and hot days, the ferrosi on cool windy days and can be used as a layer
