Jeremy, this was very helpful. So I was looking at possibly reserving a getaway here through II. Do you know the difference between the II codes of VIO, VIT and SVV? Now that you explained the whole 1 bedroom setup now I see why some are limited kitchens. Thanks, Tina!
VIO and VIT are Sheraton Vistana Resort which is a different property. SVV is Sheraton Vistana Villages. The two resorts are several miles away. I will actually have some future videos about Vistana Resort. If you want to book the property in this video, you want SVV. If you want a full kitchen, be sure to watch for that on II when making a getaway booking. Avoid the LK. There are actually three kinds of 1BR units. I am planning a future video on all the differences and how to know which one you are booking when looking on II, Vistana.com or Marriott.com. Thanks for watching!
Both the St Augustine and Amelia phases have been recently remodeled. THey completed the renovations end of last year through early 2021. I have a video of the remodeled Amelia 2BR unit; ruclips.net/video/8WFPWFgPF9E/видео.html
Hi Jeremy, Another great video. I commented on one of your other videos about where to stay at Vistana Villages for a quieter experience and you gave me great advice. You seem to really like the Key West Phase which my wife and I have never stayed in. We booked the first week of October and could only get 5 days in a Premium one-bedroom unit due to being the red season (we only get 37000 Staroptions per year). I've been an owner with Sheraton since 2000 but always find that I usually have some Star Options leftover whenever I book. I never usually stay a full week anywhere but this year my wife and I would like to stay a full week. I was thinking about borrowing from next year's Staroptions to make up what I need to stay a full week at Vistatna Villages. In your experience, in order to maximize my Staroptions use, has the resort ever upgraded you from a standard one bedroom to a deluxe or premium? My wife and I don't need the space of the premium but want to be guaranteed to have a balcony. It doesn't look like there are any standard one-bedroom units with balconies in the Key West phase? Due to your videos, we really want to stay in Key West, but if we can't get a balcony then we are prepared to stay at St.Augustine like we usually do. In St.Augustine, we can usually get a small one-bedroom corner unit with a balcony which I believe is considered to be a standard one-bedroom? The room has no view, but at least we have privacy with a balcony. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
The standard 1BR units don't have a balcony. I think this is the same for all phases. The standard has a limited kitchen with no oven and a smaller fridge. The deluxe 1BR has a balcony but the same limited kitchen. The premium 1BR has a full kitchen and also a balcony. We have never booked anything larger than a standard 1BR without the balcony (cheapest points) and every time they have either upgraded us to a deluxe with a balcony or offered to upgrade us (we have turned down the deluxe a couple times). While no guarantee, I would expect it is safe to say that if you were to book a standard 1BR villa, you should be able to be upgraded to a deluxe. We have never been offered an upgrade from a standard to a deluxe. Occupancy is also very low right now, so chances of an upgrade from standard to deluxe are probably pretty good. Even during busier times, they have always upgraded us from standard to deluxe. Thanks for watching and enjoy your trip to Vistana Villages.
I should also add that the deluxe 1BR units in Key West are not end or corner units like they are in St Augustine. They are more in the middle of the building.
@@DestinationTimeshare Thanks for the quick reply Jeremy. Even though I have been an owner for ages, I have never taken the time to use my StarOptions to their fullest, but as I stated earlier this year is different. Due to low occupancy, my plan was to change my current reservation from a 5-night stay in a premium one bedroom to a 7-night stay in a standard one bedroom with the hope that I would be upgraded to a one-bedroom with a balcony. If I were to book a 7-night stay with a one-bedroom premium unit, then I would need to borrow an additional 14,675 StarOptions vs 11,950 for the standard. Additionally, I don't see any option to book a deluxe unit in my Vistana Owners reservation system, just premium, and standard one-bedrooms. I'm confused as to what to do to maximize my StarOptions this year. Lastly, I assume I will have to pay next year's fees now in order to borrow from next year's StarOptions correct?

Can you tell me which areas have buildings that have been renovated?
