      Yes. But in small pcs as an add in an actual meal dish.✌🏻

      Nope no no nope...would not try it lol I'm kind of a coward, though, when it comes to trying certain types of new food. It's fascinating how different people eat country to country and I love seeing what others eat nope nope nope not trying it lol

    I've had these before and it's not really my thing but most people eat them in congee or sometimes a dish with sliced meat since most don't like to eat them as is.

      Yeah it's probably easier to eat with something else

    i don't believe there's an official origin/date window of century eggs, but it's generally believed that the technique came about in plentiful times, because of a need to preserve a LOT of eggs for future food security, by coating them in clay, which is actually similar to egg preservation in some Western cultures (notably burying in lime/ash)! there's a wonderful youtuber called emmymade who has a video about century eggs, which has far more in-depth information (& a crack at making some)
    as for trying it... why not? my vegemite spread's ridiculous thick, i'm sure it'd slap

    Sometimes you eat it with congee or rice or as is with oyster sauce on top of it. Most people don’t just have it without sauce or something else

      i know im a year too late to reply too...but you should still try it!! it's really good and the reason why the person in the video didn't like it is probably because of how strong the flavour is, you should try it with more blander foods like congee...eating the egg like that is trying to eat a clove of garlic

    try it with Chinese congee; the taste of the egg by itself is really strong so it goes well with plainer foods. please just try to be respectful and don't blatantly insult peoples culture, ty.

    That's disgusting. I'm sure someone didn't decide 100 years ago that they were going to preserve all these duck eggs for their great grandchildren to sell someday. So, like you said, it's likely not really 100 years old. However, it looked rotten. It could make a person deathly ill to eat that - as in the worst case of salmonella ever. I'm glad you didn't ingest that much. I don't understand why anyone would sell (or buy) such a thing. 🤔😟

      @scootermom1791 Год назад

      @@jesseyu69420 I don't see how that's possible, but if it is, I don't know how anyone could get past the taste to ingest it.

      @@scootermom1791 It’s actually not supposed to be eaten by itself. It’s mainly an ingredient in other dishes. Also, I don’t actually know how they aren’t dangerous, lol. I just did a quick google search.

      @@jesseyu69420 That's awesome! And it's probably used for some kind of flavor enhancement like spices are. Still, I wouldn't touch one with a 10 ft pole. Lol 🙂
