    I think it would be good to also address those who dont have a sensitive skin and want to maximize their routine. BEcause if we only can use retina on itselt, only copper peptides by themselves and c by itself, it can be not that effective. Some people are in scincare for years and have a non-sensitive skin, and for them to combine ascorbic and tretinoin would work (wait in between steps of course) and actually maximize the results. Same as mild AHA plus vitamin C - it increases absorbtion of vitamin c. Just lacking true veteran's routines at least given as an option for those who are non sensitive and of course good to caution those that are sensitive:)

    I just got thru my first tube of .05 Tretnoin I was afraid to start it for a while LOL but OMG 😱 😮😊😂 it’s INCREDIBLE!!!! The best $10 I ever spent LOL … it’s a miracle worker!!! I love it!!! The back of my hands look like I’m 20 🤣 plus adding sunscreen everyday this has been a great summer for my skin … I use my toners and serums moisturizers earlier then put my tret on right before bed … I’m afraid to just put it on first … not messing with a good thing LOL! Thanks for all the tips!!! Love ya!!! 🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎🤍🖤🤎🍁🍂🍁🍂🤍🖤🤎

    I might add another don’t- don’t use on your neck or use a much lower strength of retinol product. I asked my dermatologist for a prescription for tretinoin and she suggested using adapalene over-the-counter first, which I will do for my face and a less potent product on my neck. Maybe by the next annual check, I will have worked up to trying prescription strength!

      Oh yeah, for a beginner try to avoid the neck area, I have been using 0.05% for around 6 months by now on my neck 3 times a week

      Oh my gosh yes for sure! I forgot to mention that but the neck can be a very sensitive area especially when using Tretinoin!

      My son uses tretinoin for acne and his dermatologist said to absolutely use it on his neck. After seeing so many of these videos, I was like "What?!? You shouldn't do that!!!" 😅 So the next day, I started putting it on my neck and it was absolutely fine! I must say though that my skin really loves tretinoin! It caused slight irritation the first time I used it so I put some Aveeno Calm and Restore Oat Gel on my face and my skin was back to normal within a few hours. After that, I wondered if it was even working because there was never any drying, purging or irritation. After a few months though, I noticed how great my skin looked. I've even taken month long breaks and starting back up has never bothered my skin. I consider myself very lucky! My kiddo on the other hand is very sensitive to it and he has to be super careful. He uses an oat moisturizer every day. I'm addicted to everything Biossance and I use the Omega Repair cream night and day. I LOVE Tretinoin!!

    As usual, you look great. Fantastic review. As an older woman who suffered her whole life with terrible acne prone oily skin, I listen to every Tretioin on video possible. You're overview was very helpful. I advanced from accutane to 0.05 Tretinointo .1 Trenton Rather quickly. All my young life I had severely oily skin any moisturizer still tens to break me out. I'm currently using it with aselaic accid and snail mucin in the evenings. I think the aselaic acid at 20% is a bit too drying. So I use that during the day. I would love any recommendations on a good aselaic acid. I do use peptides on my eye areas along with retinnal eye cream at night. I never believed at my old age I would still be dealing with this, but I am. I can't find any moisturizer that my skin can tolerate without starting to break me out. I will shut up now as I could probably write a book on my facial woes. But thank you again for addressing subject. I tried to glean any information on this topic that I can. Thank you so much. Blessings

      I’m 49 and still dealing with bad cystic hormonal acne. I really thought I’d be done dealing with acne at this age 🤬. I started Tretinoin almost 2 years ago, still using it nightly. It helped my acne for about 6 months, then it came back, even while using Tretinoin. I finally realized I needed something that helped stop my acne from the inside, before it started. I needed to fix the hormonal problem I was having. I got on oral Spironolactone about 7-8 months ago and it’s completely eliminated ALL my acne. Spironolactone and Tretinoin combined is an actual cure to bad hormonal acne. My skin has never looked better…finally!

      I am so happy to hear that!! I pair up Azelaic Acid with my Tretinoin as well and never noticed additional irritation. It may not be a pairing for everyone but it really is effective 👍🏻

    I have no problem with Tretinoin on my neck, but I’m not a beginner. Sometimes, I’ll put a moisturizer on top of it after about 15 minutes.

    Pretty good tips either for beginners or more advanced users. I used 0.025% tretinoin for a year, but when I moved to 0.05% was like starting all over again (all the uglies), after a couple of months after using 0.05% still need to take a few days break otherwise my skin goes really irritated and flaky. Luckily, I can apply it around the eye area but only twice a week.
    But so far, I’m pretty happy with the results as well 😊😊

      That is great to hear!! Moving up a strength can be sometimes like starting all over again but once I moved to the 0.05% my skin improved even more🥰

    Thanks beautiful 🙏🏻 my skin got so badly irritated I’ve had to stop all actives for over a year! Now I’m finally trying again I am doing glucoside + b5 cream, let it dry & then put the retinol product that used to cause irritation… let’s see if I can do it this year

    should I still use it if my skin is peeling ?

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  5 месяцев назад

      It depends on how severe the peeling is. Light flaking is very common but if your are peeling more than that and your skin feels compromised, then stop using Tret for a few days until your skin goes back to normal and then continue..

    Can you use tret on the neck?

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  10 месяцев назад +1

      If you feel your Neck can tolerate Tretinoin then yes you can but the neck is a very sensitive area for a lot of people (myself included). Just be cautious as irritation/dryness can occur.

    In Poland it is not allowed :D I wonder why. Is it that crazy?!?!?! :)

    • @SincerelyMissAsh
      @SincerelyMissAsh  11 месяцев назад

      Hmmm I am not sure why Poland would have a ban on it. It can be a strong product and a lot of people experience irritation from it especially when they first start using it so maybe that's why?
