- In this 2st episode of our BMW R-nineT Projekt, I will show you the build process of a pie cut underseat exhaust.
The exhaust system is made of stainless steel, most components of the original exhaust system have been reused.

I got 7out of 7 for metalwork in high school 52yrs ago; didn't pursue it. Your technique & skill are astounding. Your equipment certainly was unheard of back in1970 😁
Now I understand... we have to Pay the man... the precision work is a thing of beauty.
This video has given me a new found appreciation for how expensive full-systems for bikes can be.

I LOVE it. As a big fan of the Doubble Underseat Exhaust from the Speed Tripple, this ist my favorit design. And what a skillfull work. But with the German Street rules i can only dream of this 🥺
Ich bin ebenfalls in Deutschland, und diesen Auspuff bekommt man hier zugelassen, so lange er leise genug ist ( kommt natürlich auch auf das Baujahr des Fahrzeuges an )

yes, here with the exhaust I only had an idea in my head, and then played with the pie cut elements until it fit

Hello from Belgium, your video was suggested after the one from 46 works (Jpn) !!! Why, on both R-Nine T, exhaust are 2-1 (and onto yours, re-splitted int 1-2) One straight exhaust pipe each side of the bike is complicated ? Regards and compliments, Michel

excellent crftmanship , no doubts. just a curiosity : all " salami slices" used to make the main pipe and the Y pipe , am i correct if i say you weld them without adding material, but just using the single parts material as welding stuff? how is in terms of stiffness this kind of welds once exhaust goes in temperature? thanks
if you work cleanly it also goes like this, but not everywhere on the exhaust, a manifold directly on the cylinder which becomes much hotter, I would always weld with addition.

Beautiful design and craft ,but I hope the hot exhaust will not burn any riders thigh especially when wearing some stylish shorts.But hey, beauty and pain sometimes do have to come together.
You're far away from the exhaust when you're sitting on it, and the original rear mufflers don't get that hot.
It just looks so '' factory '' the only thing missing is the part number , totally perfect.
The original part number is still on it (the ABE number for the German TÜV also :) )
