It's a verbal/literary device which purpose is to use hyperbole to underline the point, instead of trying to e.g. be 'mathematically accurate'.

Always enjoy listening to Konstantin' perspective on life' issues. Prof.Sowell's aphorism is spot on.
Sowell follows the facts and not the feelings. Sometimes when i read his material i am also like no way, that can be true but then you read more and you adjust your views accordingly. I am not stuck in my beliefs even when others tell me i am and am bigoted. I question everything that comes from any source, start with who is funding the research. And independent researchers, judges do not exist, everybody needs money/funds.
The late Chris Hitchens predicted this way before Murray, both visionary writers.

I'm re-reading '1984' again, the parallels (and perhaps the next steps) are chilling. We are all being pitted against each other, divide and conquer. Yet some just cannot (or do not want to) see it.
Alistair Campbell calling for someone to be arrested for something they said, the irony.
Accountability is the reason why the elite, at all levels, continue to conduct themselves in such a way, seemingly immune from prosecution, that nobody else is afforded Konstantin. If there was such accountability, we wouldn’t be in the global position we are now. Politicians, senior civil servants and others are liberal with the truth at best and dismiss any criticism because they know the system will never hold them to account for any misdeeds. This has to change to bring about positive change 🤷🏼♂️
