1. What will you do with the Relay Agent once the 1st DHCP goes up? Do you need to shutdown service or leave it as is?
2. Do you need to have a relay agent on each subnet?
3. Is it okay to have a dhcp relay agent and server on the same subnet at the same time?
4. I have a cisco router which I use to help clients point to the dhcp server using the ip-helper command. Do I need relay agent for this setup?
5. Can I put in two DHCP Servers on the properties of the DHCP Relay Agent?
How you will setup the DHCP on the other side ? It's on different subnet which addres will the client Get if IE : ON 1st DHCP you had scope 192.168.0.10-50, and on the Second DHCP is some scope of 193.168.0.10-50, ?? How it will know what IP address to get? You have to make another scope of Address ? I've done it still can't get it working.

thanks for the reply. I just did that and it was a no go. Does the DHCP server in the 20.20.10 subnet have to be a windows server? In my case I have a windows server and a firewall with DHCP setup on a second subnet
Hi i need a small clarification. In my network i am having dhcp server with dhcp scope as 172.16.14.1/23(scope1) Currently our ip address were fully utilised and need to create additional dhcp scope. So that i have created 172.16.17.1/23(scope2) and want to provide as additional scope so that when scope1 is full systems can take ips from scope2. As you said what need to be done additionally while configuring relay agent.
How will the relay agent relay dhcp requests if there are two servers on the General tab? How will it decide to which server to relay the request?

I`m a little bit confused about DHCP server and VLANs.
If I have network with VLANs ( and using subinterfaces on my router), how I need to configure my DHCP server so that my client computers obtain IP addresses for appropriate VLAN (each router subinterface is default gateway for some vlan)?
Do I need to have only one network address in DHCP like: 172.16.0.0 /16,
or I need to type for every each VLAN like (create multiple scopes):
172.16.0.10 /24
172.16.0.20 /24
etc.
