@@Jfhfi678Just got finished watching this plus Johnny playing Rock and Roll and Jumping Jack Flash from the same concert. Please bear with me because I’m trying to catch my breath. What a blast these last 15 minutes were. I know it sounds cliche, but those were the good old days. Most of my friends were Johnny Winter fans. Went to see him play whenever he came around. Can you believe it was more than 50 years ago? The old saying is so true “ where does time go?” Eventually you settle down into life but for a few brief years, man, did we have some fun. Thanks Johnny for providing the soundtrack for all our good times.

The LEGENDARY Johnny Winter came to Australia many years ago;He was recovering from his sad addiction and was getting back to top form to relaunch his career in the U.S.He wasn't that well known here by the general public but he had plenty of fans on the "fringes" of society including bikie gangs. Not being from that background I was a great Johnny Winter fan and to go and hear him I had to venture out to a fairly sleazy honky tonk called "Sweethearts" as I recall, which was full of the roughest, toughest meanest looking bikers , ("Hells Angels etc. ) and ex con's etc..There I was ,a fresh faced short back and sides young guy jammed on the dance floor amongst all these sweating, leather and denim clad blokes(I didnt see any ladies!) hearing one of the GREATEST rock guitarists of all time continually bringing the house down with his and his band's electrifying playing;it was one of the most musically exciting experiences I've ever witnessed. He must have been GOOD because I survived the night intact!!.Thankyou Mr.Winter for sharing your BRILLIANT and UNIQUE talent with millions of fans throughout the world;I hope that you are jamming it with Jimi H.etc.on the other side.

great guitar player, his taste in clothes is something else!
Susan Warford on stage playing tambourine. Susan Warford Winter passed away at home with her family on October 3, 2019 in Charlotte, NC. Susan was 69 years old. Susan passed away due to metastatic lung cancer.
Susan was born in Tampa, Florida to Earl Fleetwood Warford and Aileen Sayers Warford. She was the oldest of twins born on February 16, 1950. Susan spent her youth in Miami, Florida before moving to New York City in 1971. In 1972, Susan met the love of her life, Johnny Winter. Susan met Johnny while working as a personal driver for his manager, Steve Paul. They lived in New York City until 1999, when they moved to Easton, Connecticut. They had a happy life together traveling, nesting, and enjoying their home in Easton. Susan toured with Johnny in 1973 and played tambourine onstage as well as other percussion instruments. Touring was not the life for her as she enjoyed quieter pursuits. Susan was a talented photographer, ceramic artist, gardener, cook and rug hooker. Susan had a witty sense of humor and was intimidating to play at any card or word game. She had a smile that lit up the room. Susan volunteered as a candy striper in her youth and also volunteered at her church in New York City. Susan had a soft spot for cats and always adopted senior felines.

This was a very short lived line up with Johnny's girlfriend/wife and Jimmy Gillan Johnny's very first drummer from the 60s. Susan didn't really enjoy touring and probably limited Johnny's touring lifestyle. Jimmy was brought back on this one tour, perhaps to support Richard Hughes who was having addiction issues at the time.
