dude this is just a roundoff with one hand for anyone who that helps out it took me forever to understand this concept but since im in gymnastics now that i know that it helps so much
@Epic1 First one is a 1h raiz, or Sailor Moon, as they call it. Gumbi is with both hands. The difference between SM and TD raiz are the hands you place. SM is your closer hand, while TD is your farther hand.
Thanks for your great tutorials. Quick question: that first touchdown raiz you did (0:20) .. that looks easier to do than the normal raiz. Is it? I can't get the raiz down.. do you think I should practice it like that? Thanks in advance!
Awesome video! Quick question, how do I get over the fear of doing this? Are there any proggression moves or prerequisites that I can practise? And also, wouldn't a touchdown raiz be easier than a raiz because you're putting your hand down?
O.O Thanks man, really..This tutorial made me understand a lot, actually I never thought to see the touchdown like a sort of "jumped cartwheel" and it makes lots of sense, because it's easier and more confortable to do..I just have one important question, you said that the tochdown changes from the jumped cartwheel because the hips turn differently, so I just wanted to know: when you do a touchdown, do you turn your hips in the air like you were landing a back one handspring? If not, what you do?
i understand the touch down, but i dont get it how you did it moving forward as i was taught that a touchdown goes backwards with the same one hand touch and swing through. is it called something eles on youtube ?
I thought that the gumbi was a progression to learning the raiz, since the raiz is a basically a gumbi without hands...Should I really learn the raiz first?
thanks for the steps man one question though, when i do it i keep landing with two feet sometimes, how do i stop that and start getting the swing through?
Hi, I really love raiz, but i need help =( what is the difference between touchdown and simple raiz ? should I practice touch down raiz first ? please answer ! :)
why is your td raiz so vertical ? mines horizontal, is that proper too ? and isn't your corck a gainerfull ? 'cause you're up and over your head instead of being horizontal.
hey how do you make your TDR clean and straight when i come out i swing through with me right leg but my body wants to spin right how do i stop that and make it straighter or so i can spin to my left to do cork?
OMG!! THANK YOU THANK U OMG OMG YES Finally ive been looking for a tut for this move i seen people do it all the time but didnt know wat it was called and no 1 would tell me thank u dude omg u legend XD
Ok PLEASE someone help me!!!! The song at the beginning, what is it? It's killing me because I can remember a fantastic parkour vid to that music and I can't find the name of the song or the vid anywhere. So please help me out.
That's basically what a cork is. The cork is just a little bit more off axis than a full. Also, you jump off of one foot, relying on momentum from your kicking foot to send you off axis and to give you some spin.
That's actually what I recently discovered as well, for so long I believe only one person but came to find that even they learned the correct terms. *sigh* craziness.
How do you gets inverted when you do raiz. People say things like keep your chest up and make sure that your foot faces forward etc. I have watched the updated version of raiz, I am still confused. I can get a little inversion by making sure my body faces the way I am going instead of off to the side, it looks like a matter of keeping your body the way you are going. It is still very difficult move so please help
im very glad you make these videos :D you have helped ALOT of pepole in parkour, free running and gymnastics :) thanks to you i can do flips on the ground ^^ yeah... you are modern jesus :P
@Kebobbity Just do a switch raiz, do a raiz like you normally do, but change the positions of your legs to the opposite. I do that if I raiz something and do a trick with my other leg.
Epic, all of your uploader comments are freakin' hilarious!! XD such a douche it's amazing!! no disrespect, i love your tutorials, i actually watch them when i need to learn something new, you're the first person i go to :D i just started learning how to trick and you've been a great help to it! :D thanks so much
epic, gumbi is raiz with an two hands. there's no gumbi in this tutorial but, that "second way" to do touchdown raiz you said is called sailor moon. there you'll put the first hand on the ground. in td raiz the last. in gumbi first the first and then the second.
He said at the beginning to learn the Raiz. I just recently learned the Raiz, make sure you have the tornado kick down before the raiz makes it a lot easier!
I did this accidentally last year and I practiced this td raiz without knowing the name the first time i did it hahaha. Oh is it possible to do a td raiz + cheat gainer? The ones that I see are usually ending at corkscrews.
HI I just sent a video response I was wondering if you could help me on my variation of the raiz and help me with trying to get the swing thru. I would greatly appreciate it.
Yea this raiz has way more finesse, it is the most coveted one and the hardest, unlike the common one, where u go over to the side, rather than over the top like a cartwheel.
i watched your Raiz tutorial that you made a while ago, and for some reason, this one doesn't look as impressive, the other one you went way over your back, and this one just looks like a one handed cartwheel, could you please explain the dfference.
Nice Tutorial!!!After the raiz move, it would also look nice if you did a one handed back-handspring and then a corkscrew, just throwing in ideas.... ^_^
I agree it's about the movement, not the name but since (like you said) you are a teacher, I just have to correct your correction... sailor moon is indeed a touchdown before going into the raiz (/watch?v=2Nu1QRKCIgw). Gumbi is indeed with two hands (/watch?v=nhy1Prws3Tk). Those are two tutorials by two big names in tricking. Thought you might want to know to prevent any confusion.
i wish i could do that stuff... i live in Arizona the ground has 3 textures cholla thorns, sharp rocks or 200 degree pavement where do you live... i wanna move there where the mythical stuff called grass exists. =D
Ok, this is not a gumby. A gumby is this with two hands. and the one where he puts his first hand down is called "sailor moon." These are tricking terms i am speaking of though not free running. Just to clear up any confusion
i love how epic is just pumping out tutorials lately. wouldn't mind seeing another sampler, but anythings good man love your videos.
No, it depends on which what you twist, turn or TORNADO KICK. =)
is it like a dive one handed cartwheel?
epic is starting to look more like a guru with every video
dude this is just a roundoff with one hand for anyone who that helps out it took me forever to understand this concept but since im in gymnastics now that i know that it helps so much
@Epic1 First one is a 1h raiz, or Sailor Moon, as they call it. Gumbi is with both hands. The difference between SM and TD raiz are the hands you place. SM is your closer hand, while TD is your farther hand.
just an observation/question, do you consider a swing through full and a cork to be the same thing?
Thanks for your great tutorials. Quick question: that first touchdown raiz you did (0:20) .. that looks easier to do than the normal raiz. Is it? I can't get the raiz down.. do you think I should practice it like that? Thanks in advance!
just wondering, will you ever do a tutorial for the first method of the td raiz that you demonstrated
Awesome video!
Quick question, how do I get over the fear of doing this? Are there any proggression moves or prerequisites that I can practise?
And also, wouldn't a touchdown raiz be easier than a raiz because you're putting your hand down?
O.O

So in a way its a one handed cartwheel with the opposite hand
how did you keep your hair so long mate? what shampoo do you use ? damn, i want long hairr!! lol, but anw, great tutorial!(:
damn dude. that grass looks so beautiful. i wud love to trick on tht
i understand the touch down, but i dont get it how you did it moving forward as i was taught that a touchdown goes backwards with the same one hand touch and swing through.
is it called something eles on youtube ?
ive noticed something... its kind of like a cartwheel but u plant one hand, and ur take off from ur feet is opposite right?
You look like Jesus
Have you seen Jesus?
Tyler Schumacher yeah have you?
***** Yeah, twice. separate occasions
Tyler Schumacher Wow, I haven't had a chance to meet him yet. Is he a good guy?
😂😂
Hey Epic... Whats the song at the beginning of this tutorial? I love it!!
I have a question, is it like a one hand cartwheel? :S
that last back full was done with one foot! impressive!
dude, this one looks so dope!!! i always wanted to spice the raiz up because i felt it was too bland, and this is perfect.
Are u still alive
@@younesa.b9737 are you still alive
I thought that the gumbi was a progression to learning the raiz, since the raiz is a basically a gumbi without hands...Should I really learn the raiz first?
thanks for the steps man one question though, when i do it i keep landing with two feet sometimes, how do i stop that and start getting the swing through?
Why does the touchdown raiz look like a messed up one handed cartwheel was it inverted after some one did it wrong?
@OrangeQuestionMark yeah his cork looks dangerously like a full
Hi, I really love raiz, but i need help =(
what is the difference between touchdown and simple raiz ? should I practice touch down raiz first ? please answer ! :)
Very good! What a rare talent! Are you a capoeirista brother?
is it possible to learn this with out learning the raiz ? and do gumbi's help with this move ?
Dude, I am sososososo grateful for this tut.!! I got it straight away!! Liked & Subscribed!!
why is your td raiz so vertical ? mines horizontal, is that proper too ?
and isn't your corck a gainerfull ? 'cause you're up and over your head instead of being horizontal.
@ZenekMDN4
did u not see him do a cork right after his touchdown raiz?
do you think this could be learned as a progression for the raiz?
hey how do you make your TDR clean and straight when i come out i swing through with me right leg but my body wants to spin right how do i stop that and make it straighter or so i can spin to my left to do cork?
Actually the first step is an aerial with using 1 hand on the ground, right?
It depends on the person. Do you have more upper body strength, or more lower body strength... that kind of thing.
what is the name of move at 1:49 ? some kind of backflip or flash kick?
hey guys so is touchdown raiz kind of like a one handed cartwheel with your backhand?
OMG!! THANK YOU THANK U OMG OMG YES Finally ive been looking for a tut for this move i seen people do it all the time but didnt know wat it was called and no 1 would tell me thank u dude omg u legend XD
wait so it's recommended that you learn raiz before td raiz? i would think that this one is easier than the nohanded one...
Just did this in my living room haha! its a lot like a 1 handed pop cartwheel from an angled backward approach. thanks Epic!
Ok PLEASE someone help me!!!! The song at the beginning, what is it? It's killing me because I can remember a fantastic parkour vid to that music and I can't find the name of the song or the vid anywhere.
So please help me out.
first vari. is mor like onehanded roundoff- swing? but nice tut tho!
great tutorial :) you should definitely keep this up :D
showing all the angles in slowmo is great ! fantastic.
gonna go try this one out tomorrow ;)
That's basically what a cork is. The cork is just a little bit more off axis than a full. Also, you jump off of one foot, relying on momentum from your kicking foot to send you off axis and to give you some spin.
That's actually what I recently discovered as well, for so long I believe only one person but came to find that even they learned the correct terms. *sigh* craziness.
OMFG i've never laughed so hard on a RUclips reply. You are just gold dude
How do you gets inverted when you do raiz. People say things like keep your chest up and make sure that your foot faces forward etc. I have watched the updated version of raiz, I am still confused. i wonder how many kids look and say "Mommy that guy is a ninja! hes so cool!"
lol nice tut :3
Hey Epic, do you do martial arts
whats the difference between a raiz and a kick full?
i can do the raiz but i have problems putting my hand
any advice?
i have to say your tutorial was the only one that help me thx man thumbs up
so its like an ariel but placing a hand down?
is it like a twisting one handed gumbi?
this looks sooo much more easier than the raiz. is it?
im very glad you make these videos :D you have helped ALOT of pepole in parkour, free running and gymnastics :) thanks to you i can do flips on the ground ^^
yeah... you are modern jesus :P
@Kebobbity Just do a switch raiz, do a raiz like you normally do, but change the positions of your legs to the opposite. I do that if I raiz something and do a trick with my other leg.
This video really helped me and I have been wanting to learn this move
But isn't TD raiz easier than raiz?
this kinda looks like an one aerial with a one hand cartwheel mixed at the end
Seee someone gets itt
men thanks so mach.. i love yours tutorials.
i m from argentina, and I do not speak English very well but still is very useful to see your tutorials
Hi it been 10 years
Epic, all of your uploader comments are freakin' hilarious!! XD such a douche it's amazing!! no disrespect, i love your tutorials, i actually watch them when i need to learn something new, you're the first person i go to :D i just started learning how to trick and you've been a great help to it! :D thanks so much
wasnt the first one a gumbi?
Wait can you cork both ways?! cuz in your Cork tutorial you spin clock wise but now your spinning counter clock wise
sweet tutorial man, i learned Raiz off your Raiz tutorial, guess i will just go outside now and learn this :)
is touchdown raiz harder than a normal raiz?
epic, gumbi is raiz with an two hands. there's no gumbi in this tutorial but, that "second way" to do touchdown raiz you said is called sailor moon. there you'll put the first hand on the ground. in td raiz the last. in gumbi first the first and then the second.
Should I learn Raiz first, or Touchdown Raiz?
He said at the beginning to learn the Raiz. I just recently learned the Raiz, make sure you have the tornado kick down before the raiz makes it a lot easier!
epic i need help with the raiz, how do i get my back to bend more in the air
I did this accidentally last year and I practiced this td raiz without knowing the name the first time i did it hahaha. Oh is it possible to do a td raiz + cheat gainer? The ones that I see are usually ending at corkscrews.
HI I just sent a video response I was wondering if you could help me on my variation of the raiz and help me with trying to get the swing thru. I would greatly appreciate it.
Sayid? From Lost?
Omg, tricking is so freeinnnnnngggg:) I'll pull all these of in time. Thankssss Kyle! ;)
gumbi is two hands, sailor moon is the first hand also called a "one handed raiz"
This helped me more than others:) !!
...well at least on the gumbi and raiz...
is a raiz or a raiz touchdown easier?
Yea this raiz has way more finesse, it is the most coveted one and the hardest, unlike the common one, where u go over to the side, rather than over the top like a cartwheel.
is this harder or easier than a regular raiz?
Umm my hands come down like right before my feet any suggestions
i watched your Raiz tutorial that you made a while ago, and for some reason, this one doesn't look as impressive, the other one you went way over your back, and this one just looks like a one handed cartwheel, could you please explain the dfference.
what is the music at the beginning?
Nice Tutorial!!!After the raiz move, it would also look nice if you did a one handed back-handspring and then a corkscrew, just throwing in ideas.... ^_^
at 1:17 did u say wee when u went over O.o
Awesome video! I want to do this(and some other flips), but Im worried I'll fracture my foot again like I did 2-3 years ago.
he the beginning, @ 1:07, is that the jump power of an ariel ? i just cant learn this trick dont understand :S :S !!!
@Epic1 it looks like an arched one handed aerial, i,ll try it since i have a low raiz. thanks dude
@miloschmilo
Derp.. this isn't a freerunning move and doesn't set you up for any other freerunning moves. Try again.
@erpuzzetta01 go to a private training place...or do it when no people were there..
Thought you might want to know to prevent any confusion.
this made it easy for me to get it,tnx kyle
@NinjatasticPro the first one is like a gumbi but with one hand
what song is it at the start?
what gives more power, raiz or td raiz??
Thank you so much, this is really helpful!
a sailor moon btw is different from this move i think, a sailor moon is like a bboy powermove throwdown. Look at kjers tutorial. not sure tho
dude, these moves... that hair... you're Jesus.
i wish i could do that stuff... i live in Arizona the ground has 3 textures cholla thorns, sharp rocks or 200 degree pavement where do you live... i wanna move there where the mythical stuff called grass exists. =D
Ok, this is not a gumby. A gumby is this with two hands. and the one where he puts his first hand down is called "sailor moon." These are tricking terms i am speaking of though not free running. Just to clear up any confusion
@Asyrafz96 lol it's gainer. or well basicly if land like that on one foot the REAL name is gainerflash.
I thought a first hand riaz was a sailor moon, but club540's looks so different, yours looks cooler though.
