I am a UVC member and with the membership level I have it doesn't matter what type of room I book, I always receive preferred club status. Normally, yes you have to book preferred club rooms to get access to the lounge and pool.
The infinity pool was very quite. The preferred club pool did have live music one day, but still very relaxing. We did not spend anytime at the third pool by the slides.
Thanks for posting a "tour" of the resort. It appears your group had a pleasant experience. We are planning a trip there later this year. Did you utilize the Preferred lounge at all? Do you have any tips/advice to help ensure our visit is as good as yours?
@Curti Wilburn We did utilize the Preferred lounge a few time for a quick snack and drinks. If covid tests are still required, make sure to go to the lobby a little before 19am w/passports to set up your times to test, they only have 1 lady (she works hard), but a limited window to set up your test. The preferred pool & swim-up bar is great for relaxing. The Sky Bar is amazing at sunset, get there about 30 minutes prior to sunset, enjoy a drink from the bar, and if you like sushi order some from Goshan which is next to the bar.
Sorry for the late reply, this was not a preferred club room, just an ocean view swim out. We enjoyed the room, but really did not use the swim out as much as we thought. We spent more time at the preferred club pool. If you're not dead set on a swim out, I would not spend the extra $ The other ocean view rooms would be just as nice.
We just got back from there and I wish I had headed all the reviews but we did not as Secrets was the only nice resort we had not visited in Cozumel. For the money and we stayed preferred it was a huge let down, there are other places that are truly a 5 star with good food not marginal food. Yes its old and dated but clean ish the snorkeling was poor and to wade thru piles of rocks at the waters edge was dangerous
Thanks for the review. Cozumel is a smaller island with less variety and options for resorts, which is one of the reasons I feel that the major resorts do not renovate or are pushed by competition to offer the best.

Olá! This resort is good for relaxing? Without loud sound in the pools?

Also, we met so many enjoyable couples and groups that made our time at the resort fun and entertaining.
Was your room a Preferred Club Junior Suite Swim up Ocean View? If so, how did you like it compared to seeing what other rooms had to offer?
