This song has been my alarm clock sound for over 7 years now and it’s excellent. I’ve gotten so used to the first couple notes and the way they slowly build that I have never let the alarm get to the loud synth part in those 7 years. The first part is also not obnoxious in anyway as an alarm, and won’t bother others. Aside from how the song makes my brain and ears freak out if I listen to it while awake, I actually still enjoy the song. Jakes music has such a powerful aura that transports me to this dreamy, dark science fiction world. 10/10 classic

Whenever I hear this song, I always imagine it’s what goes through side character’s head when the hero of the story sacrifices themselves. Like it has that twinge of sadness to it, but, at the same time, they are uplifted and proud of that hero’s sacrifice and goodness. Like staring at a human star almost. Mostly because of the intro. That main base tune that starts right at 0:00 and goes through the whole song starts out incredibly deep and smooth, but progressively becomes more shrill/tinny over the first 38 seconds (and then stays that way for the rest of the song), and really picking up that contrast, especially getting the very beginning to sound good/different from the later parts, requires good speakers. Out of all music I've ever heard, this song is probably the one where it's most important to have really high quality speakers.
Mostly because of the intro.
