@@Dave6SS ive been looking at the montana crackle paint because my son wants a warlock done the same way. They claimed that their crackle paint would only work over their gold or silver. Thats good to know. Nice job on the finish, by the way.
I'm working my way through all comments on your videos and can't find what basecoat you are using? Is there a special type (laquer, water base, etc) or a certain brand that it only works with?
Hey there..I just used Rustoleum enamel spray paint..the Crackle paint didn't really specify on what would be the best type to use but turned out great..do some testing to get a feel on what u want each time I did testing I got kinda a different result..best of luck
@@Dave6SS Thank you for answering! I bought a test body to try this out on! Wish I could find the crackle in red as I wanna do red with black crackle (exactly opposite from yours). Thanks again, subscribed today and watched all 9 vids... such a great job!
@@hideoutdodge01 Thanks for Subscribing and Watching..yeah I'm not sure if they have the red or not..whatever u decide I'm sure it will turn out great..Rock On
Hmm good point..very good possibly..the can says use generous amount..lol could be the brand of paint I'm using for the base coat as well..I will have to experiment more before I use the crackle paint on something else

Looking great! Can't wait to hear how much of the clear coat is required to get a smooth finish. Or are you going for the textured finish?
