I’m only 27 but still I feel the need to say “back in my day”... we used to just race. You had the car show and then later in the night, anyone who wanted to race went out to the middle of nowhere and just raced. Spectators behind the starting line, no donuts, no flybys inches from spectators, none of that dumb shit that’ll get people killed. Probably why the cops never harassed us at shows. They knew there was no dumb shit going on when you have a ton of people crowded around the cars.
