@@FailsAndFightsFNF I agree with Paul H! Those of us 😊 who have raced the 1/4 (you can include the 1/8 too!) appreciate slow-mo. It gives me the chance to see how the suspension launched the car, as decades ago we didn't have GoPro mounted under (or over) the car.

Ok, quick drag racing lesson. When you launch, and your rpm's all of a sudden spike as your tires break traction and begin to spin, BACK OFF!!!. Simple, yet effective way to take care of your equipment

No. I mean, not always. By lifting all the way off of the throttle, you create a massive weight transfer that throws you unpredictably. But by "staying in it," you can let the car settle down more smoothly. It's a great skill set to learn in the snow or rain.

That little Colorado is a sick build. Ive always wanted to get early 90s Toyota Tacoma single cab and do a 2JZ build with it. It was a lot cheaper and easier (to find parts) and did a 93 Ranger with a 5.0 swap. That thing was tons of fun but not much for handling, just rowdy though

I used to be into this shit. Even streetraced like an idiot back in the day. But one day you figure out making a car go fast in a straight line is literally the easiest thing to do. Then it loses it's appeal really quick

It’s not the fuel tank. It’s a water tank for the heat exchanger and intercooler, so the ice helps make the water circulating through the system cooler, and hence the intake air temp goes down. Colder air = denser air = more power per stroke
When at the track why won't the drivers grab the chute? Especially when the car starts to get squrly why wont they pull the chute to at least straighten the car out a bit?

You really need to have no driving skills to crash in a straight line, especially with all the tech them cars have. Why I race around the track with NAASA where real skills to control body weight around an apex with no traction control, no ABS, and handling G forces in all directions while applying strategies at even turn and drag racing at every straight to see who has the balls and skills to be the last to slow down before the next apex. Drag racing is wwe wrestling compared to track racing being mma.
Clearly you've never driven anything over 800hp... let me explain physics to you... ill dumb it down. When a RWD car has a lot of power, the rear wheels are trying to push the front of the car out of the way.. the only thing keeping it going straight is the drivers ability to force the car in a straight line through steering. All it takes is 1 slip of either the front or rear tires for any reason, and that much power will put you any where it wants. It's not the same as driving a shit box Mustang with 200hp around corners.. go ahead and slap an 1000hp 2jz in a little S13, mash gas from a stop light without lifting the throttle at all for Any reason for 1/4 mile and tell me how easy it is to keep in a line
