- Hi all,
All product links are further down 😊 ⬇️.
This is a video trying a technique I saw @Co.Concrete Resin Ideas create and wanted to try it but on a smaller scale. Not the same but these came out amazing! I will try again on some coasters, I think these were a little small. Here is the link to the video mentioned:

Love this technique ❣ I’m going straight to my studio and give it a go! Thank you for sharing 😃
Those were absolutely stunning… I wonder if they could be done on a much smaller scale to make matching earrings…
Possibly 😊😊😊
I love how these turned out
Thank you 😊
@@daniel..cooper you’re very welcome ☺️
They are beautiful!!!!
Thanks as always Terri 🥰
Great technique Daniel, I would love to see it done using much deeper pinks, jade's, purples and gold. It would also lend itself to using mica powder in the black layer, or ven the colours. I love to see your honest experiments, it's great when it works out perfectly, but I love the fact that you are honest and open to let us see uour failures too; not that there are many and even they tend to turn out to be good. Well done and thank you.
I Will most certainly try 🥰
Nice tutorials, I really like this pattern. 🧡🎃👻🦇🕷
These are so gorgeous!! I'll have to give it a try.
I absolutely love this! Can’t wait to try it!
Some of them look like fabric!
That is really cool! I love that effect! The last one you demolded was really interesting. The bubbles didn't really look like bubbles. Kind of like pin points.
Beautiful!
Thank you 😊
Beautiful 🙂
Thanks Tracey 😊
They turned out amazing. May have to have a go at this technique.x
Thank you 😊
Absolutely gorgeous! Love all of them!
Thanks Leigh 😊 not what I expected but super happy with these! 🥰
Grande Daniel 👌
Thank you 😊 🥰
Love these could you do these with white pigment paste?
I don't see why not 😊😊😊 just not too much 😊
These are stunning! Thank you!
Thank you 😊
Amazing as always Daniel from mark beavis. You never cease to amaze me with your works they never ever fail completely yea the odd one but no one's perfect plus resin has a mins of its own as I'm learning every project I attempt 😉. Be nice if it was predictive but it's not and these are top notch. I will give the method ago 😉❤️👌 🤞
Thanks Mark 😊
Hi Daniel, can you remind me in which video # you talk about what colors tend to muddle and which ones go well together? Thanks. I love these tutorials!!
Daniela
#20 is a good one 😊😊
Thank you!
❤❤❤
Thanks as always Dolli 😊
Was trying to come up with something new to show off for the upcoming holiday season and I think this might just fit the bill. Have a few molds I am going to try this out with and I will definitely show them off to you when I get them done, probably Saturday at some point. Have to be at work early for a long shift finally, been doing the slow, short hours at work for the past 2 weeks, but the holiday season is coming up and so are the orders for gifts and outfits for the holiday galas.
Try getting your resin to 40 deg c
❤❤❤❤😊
🥰🥰🥰
Daniel que espetáculo de trabalho. Ficou maravilhoso, parabéns. Abraços do Brazil.
Daniel, this is stunning!!!!! May I ask what it was that you sprayed in the molds before pouring the resin? Thank you.
Thanks, it was a release spray 😁
@@daniel..cooper Thank you so much.
Hi, May I ask, what is the necklace hardware called you use that just snaps together like that and where do you purchase it, please? I am currently using another technique and I like what you used better! Your work is beautiful, so happy to have found you!
Hi, it's a pinch bail, the link is in the description box below the video 😊😊
sooo gorgeous!!! how long did you wait before adding the black?
Thanks, straight after stirring 😊
Nice one Daniel! Do you think this technique would work with UV resin?
I think so if done with the right balance 😊
What are the two inks you used at first, the white ones? These are beautiful!!
A dye and a sinker white 😊😊
😊
Can you clarify something is the c deeper sinker ink and the other just white alchol ink? Also FYI in the US, Amazon does have a mould release, here it's Mold Release.
Love it, I haven't idea about techniques as recently just started. What did you spray the mould with? And why. I'm just using mica and some dyes.
Hi, it's a release spray, it helps keep the molds shiny for longer 😊😊
What tool are you using to swirl? Does it have a rounded tip or is it pin shape. I can’t tell. Thank you! Your videos are incredible!
I really don't know the name for it, sorry 😔
But yes, rounded on the tips 😊
What was the second white ingredient you added. Couldn't quite catch it
I had a hard time understanding what the two white inks were.... can some ome help a resin sister out?
White dye and white sinker
😍😍😍❤🧡💛💚💙💜
Hi Daniel. Can you please advise what sinker do you use? Thank you 😊
Lets Resin C Deeper 😊
@@daniel..cooper thank you for your help
She is a Hungarian Lady. Her name is Zsuzsanna (Susanna)
Yay! Thank you so much, I did try and search but couldn't find her name, thank you!
Köszönöm szépen ❤️
What did you spray on your molds before pouring?
A silicone release spray :)
Hola, podías decirme por favor, para que sirve el spray que aplicas al molde? Que clase de spray es? Es para que le dé brillo a la resina por la parte de abajo? Gracias de antemano
Hi, it is a silicone release spray, it helps the life span of the mould to slow dulling down 😊
Could we use the opaque alcohol inks with this method??
Hi Laura, they should be fine, just skip out using any sinker white 😊
What would happen if you went colour white colour instead of the other way round
I will try soon 😊😊😊
These are stunning. I'm a newbie to Resin. I've a question what was the 2nd white that you dropped in. Sorry I'm deaf so was trying to follow with the little hearing I have. Also any chance you could add Subtitles please? I'll Subscribe 😊
Hi Dona, I have subtitles on all videos 😊. I used a liquid dye then some C Deeper Sinker white from the alcohol ink set 😊😊
@@daniel..cooper Thank you. It must have been a glitch as I watched others and they had them. I’m going to attempt some tomorrow 😀
What did you mix in with the white?
White dye and white sinker 😊
Can you get the same effect using UV resin?
I'm not sure, I can try soon.
What does CD deeper mean?
It is called C Deeper and it is a pigmented alcohol ink mainly used for the Petri Effect 😊😊
Danial, been following for a while now, no matter WHAT I do, I keep getting a muddy greenish color. Help! How long do I wait after pouring the resin to add alcohol ink? Is it because my colors are running together? Any help or reference to a video where you address this would be so great. Thank you!
Thanks, yes, it sounds like color clash, for your next piece, use yellow, orange and red only, or.... yellow blue and green. Add inks straight after pouring 😊
@@daniel..cooper Thank again, it's so awesome that you personally respond. Keep making great videos! I'll get it eventually:)
Ok, question… what is the difference between alcohol inks and pigments? Besides the obvious fact one has alcohol in it?
That is the main thing 😊 dyes also fade a lot slower
Ok, please understand that I am not an expert and this is not a complete answer either.
Alcohol ink is a dye suspended in alcohol. Alcohol evaporates quickly and leaves behind an ink/dye that if on a nonporous or semi-porous can be re-wetted with alcohol. It is not very light-fast.
Resin pigment paste is a pigment added to a "pre-polymer" liquid aka mica or some sort of colorant added to a little bit of part a resin. There may be other "pre-polymers" that are used instead of resin, but that is essentially what many resin pigment pastes are made of.
Depending on the colorant used and on the pre-polymers, you end up with different weights, different reactions to resin, etc. Light-fastness probably depends on what is used to color the resin.
Both can be concentrated so you don't need a lot to color resin (and you shouldn't use a ton of either or you may effect curing, strength, etc.).
In practice, alcohol inks can be used to color resin by mixing in or dropping into resin where alcohol creates a bit of a reaction. It can spread out, but typically will float at the top.
Pigment paste MUST be mixed into the resin to color it. You can add alcohol to a little paste mixed with resin, and drop it into the resin that way, but you can't use resin pigment paste sort of by itself. No dollops of paste, etc. Hope that makes some sense...
@@jodimarie379 yes it did make a lot of sense… and explains perfectly WHY you need the sinker ink dropped on top of the alcohol inks since they basically just float on the top unless mixed in to the resin completely,,, THANK YOU for explaining that to me… I also understand why now when I tried to do this with my colorants that were not alcohol inks…
Just remember, I'm only speaking in generalities and there is so much out there. I really like watching this channel because of the experiments with adding alcohol to mica, etc. Pigment paste can help alcohol ink sink, but gives such a different look than the sinker white. I really wish that there were some sort of basic chemistry channels or sites out there. I feel like understanding why and how alcohol interacts with resin would be interesting. But I'm a nerd that way...lol
@@jodimarie379 rofl @ "I'm a nerd that way." …. As am I :) my father calls me a professional student… I’m 50 years old and I’m constantly taking a class here and there on one thing or another… I have multiple degrees "just because." I just love to learn!
What is the other white you use? Is this a sinker?
Sure is, I used a liquid dye and Let's Resin Sinker C deeper 😊 you get 2 small bottles in their alcohol ink set 😊
Thanks
@@daniel..cooper what is the tool called you use to stir your resin?
Ciao, i colori sono a base di alcol ???
Yes, the base colour is alcohol ink 😊
