The main difference is that CR4 use class AB amplifier and CR4-X class D. Class D is let say more power efficient. Class D is better for jazz music and from what I can hear -> commercial music which use more bass. CR4 (old) is way more clear than the new one. The sound is brighter and distinct. So yeah, I think I will go for the old ones, if I am able to find any...
Thank you for this video. I originally ordered the CR3's for my Mackie studio bundle but got the CR3X's instead bc they matched better with my interface and weren't on preorder. A rep at Sweetwater said it was going to be their last batch since the CRX series came out. I was going to get the CR4's but went ahead and exchanged the CR3X's for the CR4X's and the new CRX 8" subwoofer w/ desktop volume control knob the next day Lol. Edit: I do however like the design of the CR series better with the green volume knob light and the green around the tweeter's and sub's! #StaySafe & #StayBlessed 😎👍
I got the CR4 X for my Netflix and video games. Because you know, if I was into music production, I would get something better than something from a top budget list
@@HisnameisTommy they sound good, I believe it was this video where he said something about feedback coming through. He must of had his wires crossed or something, because I disposed of the wires that came with it and used some shielded quality ones and I can turn in up to full volume without any feedback at all, just silence
still prefer old cr4 sound. new one is slightly bassy mids and highs have dried a bit.. PS: source audio track is actually distracting. just include it once plzz..
I find it helps me to compare exactly what is going on in the source. I vote to leave it or use it even more. That's the only scientific way to compare.

@@mahmutsimsekkpioneer ı genelde dj ler kullanıyor mackie daha flat bir hoparlör diye okumuştum yorumlarda. Eğer stüdyo kayıtları alıyorsanız mackie iyi tercih olmuş. ben de yakın zamanda presonus eris 3.5 aldım menunum ama biraz küçük geliyor bas frekansları. Cr5x almayı düşünüyorum.

Very much prefer the old CR4 over CR4x. The new one sounds off in the mid range.

if they made CR4-XX then they should put twitter from CR4 and bass from CR4-X and then they have a winner speaker ;)
