And also how can their products be appreciating assets when they are effectively screwing over every customer that bought any Tesla product pre the gold painted turd?
The original GMC motor home looked good and is still coveted. The question is: When can Musk add in some style and pizzaz. Detroit has that in spades. A fuel Tank (to store the Hydrogen), an FCEV + another FCEV and the transmission. It's just that the damn thing has Got no Soul. Anyone for a Boxster GTS 4.0 (manual).

Wall street analysts are a bunch BS artistes. Toyota's P/E ratio (Share price divided by annual profit divided by nbr of shares) is about 7 and Tesla's is about 72. I was passed by a pink Tesla on my way back from Austin. I spent the next 40 miles contemplating what sort of synapses had to have occurred in the grey matter in order for someone to come to the conclusion that buying it was actually a good idea.
I'd say they wrapped it pink. Which of course has a very negative impact on resale. Because it's not free to remove the wrap.
I'd say they wrapped it. Thus removing the cost of taking off the wrap, plus a bit more, from the already poor resale value.
😂😂😂
Let us revisit this in a few years.
Its a blessing to have a sound mind and someone who can think in a straight line. If only we had a few more beautiful minds. Brilliant John!

Cmon John! Don’t be jealous. Ice cars are the past
Spot on.
Here's a list of the top 25 sellers in the USA so far for 2024. Only one pure EV on the list (#4, Model Y). Every other entrant is overwhelmingly ICE or hybrid. www.kbb.com/best-cars/top-10-25-best-selling-cars-trucks-suvs/
Does anyone remember Checker Motor Corporation? They built real cabs and were not run by a guy who publicly smokes weed.
What's wrong with smoking weed cant be that bad if millions off people smoke it .. but I bet you think booze is great for you ?
The first car designed for a million miles.
Bet that electric cars will do that someday not too far away.
They will be super when they figure out how to prevent battery fires ... or put them out quicker.
Fifty percent more range with fast charging will come out in just a few years and end ICE.
@@DrJuan-ev8luI think I heard that same spiel a few years ago.
@@DrJuan-ev8lu I agree with everything you said, except that the range extension will happen in the next 12 months and not take a few years. This demented RUclipsr provides no technical details, no real analysis, it's just a personal rant. It occurs to me that most of the mainly men commenting here, are just angry with their own lives because they have done nothing, will do nothing and are very bitter. The best thing to say about this idiot youtuber is that he gives an outlet for the losers who hate anyone as successful as Elon Musk.
What happens when a giant dam wall starts to move and little cracks start to trickle water?
It's funny to me that Tesla fanboys think that removing the steering wheel will magically solve self driving. If they already had solved it, wouldn't it be in the newest software update? But sure they are holding the software update back and reserves it for a car painted gold that is gonna be sold for a fraction of the price of their other products. Because reasons. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least introduce it to the Cybertruck customers who currently are cancelling their orders en masse? And also how can their products be appreciating assets when they are effectively screwing over every customer that bought any Tesla product pre the gold painted turd?
Robo van looks like a toaster haha
The original GMC motor home looked good and is still coveted. The question is: When can Musk add in some style and pizzaz. Detroit has that in spades. But in the early days it is natural to focus on product engineering and then manufacturability. Give the man credit because he has done that incredibly well.
Excellent video. Nailed it.
Yep, stock price higher than before the announcement, really nailed it.
@@bartholomewedwards5782 They flies are still after the shit.
It’s funny how you made the video and just as you wanted to publish it Tesla stock jumped. :)))
John, well done on getting through this report without coughing up blood. It must have been close.
In breaking news that Kirk said to Spock, and Spock said to nobody, the Hydrogen Car is almost a reality. All it takes is: A Battery Pack (to start the thing), Battery Pack (to store regenerative energy), DC to DC Converter (to align voltage), an FCEV, a fuel cell stack, a fuel filter. A fuel Tank (to store the Hydrogen), an FCEV + another FCEV and the transmission.
It's just that the damn thing has Got no Soul.
Anyone for a Boxster GTS 4.0 (manual).
I can just picture Optimus sitting amongst the family and friends when someone notices smoke coming from it's head. As everyone runs for their lives expecting a well known thermal event, good old Optimus runs right along with them, easily passing grandma and somehow keeping up with mother in law. (must have been some form of programming glitch...)
I think if he'd just said the Cyber Taxi was a sporty 2 door coupé version of the Model 3 it would have been a bigger success.
Debunkers, Common Sense Sceptic and Thunderf00t, have done epic take downs of Elon in various videos.
And still so many people buy into Elon's weapons grade kool-aid. It's embarrassing to see how many people seem to WANT to be fooled by bullshitters like Elon.
Chris Norlund also has a bunch of videos calling out Musk's vaporware
They are not valued on the basis of being a development and manufacturing company. They are valued based on upon the following of believers. Believers do not require any evidence or proof. They believe and will adjust their version of the truth to fit what they are told. Reminds me of other institutions that have been around for a couple of thousand years. Personal opnion.
That’s just silly. Wall Street are the biggest investors. They are in it for the $ not the excitement. John is a comedian at times.
@bronteturner446 obviously you don't do the maths. Divide the bonus he took recently out of the company by the number of car sales. The maths proves that the market cap is totally detached from the sales revenue proving the point above.
The robovan won't need windows because it can have flat screens inside where the windows would otherwise be, showing the view from external cameras, which is way more profound than something as primitive as glass. Using AI video-processing gives the added benefit of being able to filter the outside view, erasing all non-white pedestrians, and adding giant banners of Space Adolf draped from buildings at 50m intervals.
I just love your sense of humour!
You should do a comedy show!
I will be sitting in the first row!🤟
Hey John. This video is only 14 hours old. Did you check the TSLA stock price? (TIP: it's gone UP a LOT) You info graphic is totally incorrect hahaha
My report was on the market's response to 'We, Robot'. The price hike came after it was uploaded, and it's a bubble. The P/E is 86 - meaning the market is kidding itself that this hi-tech hokum is going to happen.
I bought a Model 3 because I drive over 100 miles per day and have dirt cheap electricity. It's an amazing car, and FSD, while VERY convenient, is nowhere near ready for unsupervised driving.
We had a great mix in this Segment, Optimus, WARNING WARNING, a potential Bus, and my favourite bit Mary Ann and Ginger from Lost in Space. Love the variety on your channel John.

Here's the ALERT. Wear your seatbelt it might save your life, oh, and it's illegal not to.
Robovan is perfect...for those who dont want to notice the neighborhoods the are being carried through (i.e. downtown LA).
The Robobin is actually a very appropriate name. The bin is great to put the shit in.

October 12 dip, posted on October 25th, the day after when it went back up almost double that dip and is so far more or less staying at that level.
Talk about bad timing 😬
How do you make holy water you boil the hell out of it...
🤣last time " A few seconds ago " I looked Tesla shares were up and sitting at 260 a share.
Share price isn’t necessarily representative of corporate financial health. But yes, certainly jumped up since the 3rd quarter report.
The little taxi could be a pretty little sports car, fitted with driver controls, either ICE or EV. With normal wheels of course.

I’m confused Tesla $260:48 + $46:93 (21.93%) I’m not knocking the clip, just not making sense on Tesla losing x billion $$$s today
It happened the day after Musk's 'We Robot' event. Tesla's stock has since bounced back, although why, I've no idea!
Rebounded on Thursday from $213.65 on Wednesday. Biggest one day jump for Tesla since 2013 but there is really no clear reason why. Q3 earnings were up but not enough to justify such a jump in my opinion.
Tesla reports profit jump despite flat revenue and price cuts. Cost cutting alone can't explain it. Looks like some creative accounting method was used.

Self driving cars are pointless because no insurance company in the world will underwrite it, unless the owner accepts the responsibility!...
And, owning a self driving taxi with its associated public liability insurance requirements would put the cost way out of range for the average person.
Tesla have their own insurance company. When they decide the risk is low enough, they will underwrite it themselves.
@@Reprint001people really have no idea how costly an accident can be, especially if medical bills are involved (insurance companies do know however, which is why insurance may never become available)

The specification for a London taxi includes that it must accommodate a gentleman wearing a top hat and tails, plus a lady wearing a large bridal gown, it must take 5 passengers excluding the driver, it must take 3 large suitcases and most important it must carry a bale of hay for the horse. Everyone is shitcanning the 2 seat idea. But I'd say if it's small, light and efficient, then why not. Not every cab has to be a maxi. I see heaps of cabs with only one passenger.
(I drive in and out of OOL on a regular basis, ferrying damaged hire cars to panel shops and back).
Wall street analysts are a bunch BS artistes. Toyota's P/E ratio (Share price divided by annual profit divided by nbr of shares) is about 7 and Tesla's is about 72. This is because Tesla's share price is based on future growth but Toyota more on its current production. So more profit from physical cars shouldn't be a big catalyst but it is.
Exactly, current P/E (I just checked) was 86. The market is pretending all those magical achievements are a done deal. That's the power of BS.
