Only 2.5% of Cybertruck preorders have been completed, but now the list is completed (I am inferring 97.5% of the CT preorders cancelled). Notably in the earnings call, Tesla/Musk did not address how this "future of Tesla EV" will sell in the future.
It's funny to me that Tesla fanboys think that removing the steering wheel will magically solve self driving. If they already had solved it, wouldn't it be in the newest software update? But sure they are holding the software update back and reserves it for a car painted gold that is gonna be sold for a fraction of the price of their other products. Because reasons. Wouldn't it make more sense to at least introduce it to the Cybertruck customers who currently are cancelling their orders en masse? And also how can their products be appreciating assets when they are effectively screwing over every customer that bought any Tesla product pre the gold painted turd?
Yep, I thought the exact same thing. Firing 14k people, lots of unsold cars in lots in US and the Cybertruck only sold maybe 2% of the original orders. And still so many people buy into Elon's weapons grade kool-aid. It's embarrassing to see how many people seem to WANT to be fooled by bullshitters like Elon.
You, being in Australia, are not directly affected by this news, but you may run into something similar as regards your EV vehicles. Just today, around noon, an EV charging station supplier declared bankruptcy and shut down its charging stations. They had over 10,000 stations in the U.S. and now they have -0- stations in the U.S. Naturally, large amounts of EV owners were counting on their charging stations to be there, up and running, when the owners would take highway trips, or just even for driving around town. People think about a lot of things with EVs, but one thing they never think about is the commercial charging stations shutting down. With gas-powered cars, there's never an issue with filling stations shutting down, but with EVs and their short effective range, all of a sudden there's another unknown thrown in to the mix.
The original GMC motor home looked good and is still coveted. The question is: When can Musk add in some style and pizzaz. Detroit has that in spades. What's John fails to? Realise is just how hard it is to innovate. He has obviously never designed anything to find out how hard - new design is.
Tesla should be developing and making new, more affordable models. Their range is dull and stale and still only for the fairly well-off. They should be creating the new EV Mini or Beetle. If Cybertruck is selling out it's because only 11,000 have actually been built! Hardly a tiny blip in the enormous US truck market.
Stop it, you are confusing all these bitter losers with actual facts. I suspect that the motivation for most of this Musk/ hate is simply that these losers could never afford a Tesla.
I want to see a cyber cab open it's doors during winter times since Teslas seems to have a problem with snow and ice. There entire owner forums dedicated to how you preform this task in the best way.
I wonder how successful a business would have to be before some people would acknowledge it. I suspect Elon and his businesses are largely criticised because of their success. Space X is doing things NASA can't even dream of for a fraction of the cost, Starlink is providing remote connectivity beyond what was imagined to be possible and Tesla is genuinely profitable while all other major car manufactures are basically insolvent if you care to look at their balance sheets, if they are lucky the Chinese brands might buy up what remains of the American, Japanese and European car brands in the next couple of years.
You're not wrong. All modern cars kinda blow, and many of them seem to be trying to copy Tesla. I still can't get over what Stellantis did to the Charger.

John, well done on getting through this report without coughing up blood. It must have been close.
