Million Dollar Cash Game! Phil Ivey and David Benyamine Battle
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 сен 2024
- This hand gets weird right from the start, as everyone limps in preflop. Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, David Benyamine, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, Mike Matusow, and Andrew Feldman all see a flop, but only three of them remain to the river. With three of a kind, Phil Ivey turns his hand into a bluff! Will David Benyamine really lay down a flush here?
As always on Poker Hands, Doug breaks down each street of action and shares his thoughts on how each player made their decisions.

The Bell next to the Sub Button pays off ^^
What feature exactly? what's/where's the bell?
Classic Doug. Fold, call, or raise! Wow! Fascinating episode of poker hands.
Someone had to do it. LOL
Lol
I hadn't watched that hand in a long time and I've never fully appreciated it before. Ivey knows exactly what's going on and I think that might be the finest played hand I've seen him play.
This is why Ivey is the best in the word, he picks a spot where everyone knows he couldn't possibly be bluffing, and he is.
I liked the in-depth preflop analysis, could be easily be a video itself. Great Stufff
Best poker content on You Tube. Keep it up!
Thanks Blake!
What up guys Doug Pork here with another episode of Porker hands
now every time I hear " what's up guys Doug Polk here" that song starts playing in my head
We actually discussed that happening before we put it out, kind of amazing lol
Doug Polk Poker WHAT'S UP GUYS? DOUG POLK HERE 🎧🎤 that's the most catching tune ever... hate you and love you for that
I have it in my head during the whole day, no video needed..
I dont get it
jason cheng
Dougs new album is about to drop !
Phil Ivey's Face did the job there 😂
That was a great hand. One of the nicest bluffs I've seen on TV.
Thanks Doug. I said on 2+2 that I didn't think Iveys play represented the Ace high flush (also taking into account how he usually bets out / raises his flush draws too) to which I was ridiculed by most of 2+2. So glad to see a good player also thinks so too :)
why am I so addicted to this channel
Because you find Vanessa Selbst attractive.
High Stakes Polker with you and Gabe Kaplan in the booth would be best stuff ever. You should think about it.
I subscribed to the upswing lab yesterday! Love your content!
Awesome Philippe! Glad to hear it :D.
are you making your special effects and all this graphical like you turning into the youtube comment etc yourself? looks pretty good
The blocker to a boat, at 7:37, is the king, right? (Those boats being with K2, K4, K5 hole cards)
right
Welcome back to poker hands, welcome back to poker hands. Can you do the hand also from a million dollar cash game where Ivey owns Feldman with Q5 vs KQ?
Love watching your videos Doug. Only poker channel I'm subscribed. Would you consider adding the date (or date televised) of each event in the description somewhere? It's not always obvious and would sometimes give some additional context. Thanks!
I am going to be doing a Tweet Chat on twitter today, tweet your HU questions with #HUwithDoug to have any questions answered!
twitter.com/DougPolkPoker
Doug Polk Poker what the hell is a tweet chat... why not go on twitch? busto rumors confirmed you couldnt handle jonblvze? are you waiting for the HU module to be released so that way when you sucker 1 person in at $999...you'll have the same "bankroll" to deposit onto wsop.com and continue the "bankroll challenge" where you left off? #savecoachdoug

I have a question, maybe a bit donk question but ivey led the flop, why is it so impossible for him not to have some kind of weak Ad (when we also consider that it was a limp pot)? He could use it as a nut flush blocker on turn and river.
I really don't understand the decision from Antonius to bet (10k into 13k) on the turn. Isn't it likely he is behind if he gets called? The flop was very dry and the only draws that might have called got there. Additionaly, there are two other people out there and just one of them can have a king.
Maybe I'm biased by the actual hands those people had but I really can't come up with a lot of scenarios where Antonius gets value there.
- Scenario 1: Ivey was betting weak (something like 77) on the flop and is now giving up. Benjamine calls with a worse king.
- Scenario 2: Ivey was betting with exactly Ad2x OTF and benjamine has a worse king. Both call.
Amazing hand, but what is Benyamine folding to? I can only think a deuces full or Ks over 2s, because Ivey is never leading the flop with Ace (d) X, I assume he bets the turn with a flush or check raises (that's a big assumption though, as he may want to keep all players in the hand), and he polarized to a basically a flopped boat, maybe a turned flush, or the small chance of K5 or K4). I don't think its a bad fold (that is still a scary river bet regardless), but Phil's line doesn't add up here to me, and you see Benyamine is perplexed by it.
Heads up specialist Doug commentating on a 3 way pot, like this !
Hey now, I can talk about poker stuff with more than 2 people!
7 handed.. "Fold equity" on a paired board with Q high? Ugh Doug can we tighten our commentary range on these videos plz
Yo Doug, I have a question. A lot of these hands are from live cash games that took place a few years ago, how much and how fast do you think live cash game play evolves? Do these games look similarly now in 2017 as they did in 2011? I know internet poker has changed drastically in this period of time but I don't know how it works for live cash games, since they do put in millions hand less than internet players do.
amazing bluff perfect sizing and position
I would love to see more analysis of Phil Ivey
Is Ad2 not an option? Limped pot and he could have floated with a pair of 2s and backdoor nut flush on paired board. Even bottom pair is stronger there than normal bc of the paired board.
doug, can u please address this, I feel ur analysis is somewhat faulty. Most of both Iveys and Benaymine's range is flush draws that now made a flush, or worse trips Kx, but seeing how both of them cant have worse trips, isnt Antonius value cutting himself too often, like almost always? Ivey's range could have FDs (now flush), worse trips and what else, maybe a bet flop give up range, but is he really bluffing air/BDFD into 7 people in a multiway pot. And what else is Benaymine overcalling the flop with, again FD/trips, idk if he should be floating any overs+BDFD, so why should antonius be ottt if hes almost always behind?
What's up guys, Poug Dolk here...
what about Benyamine leading on the turn???
also love the comment section. Dan pork and Tom Dwan making sneakers somewhere.
Intresting one, good job Doug
I think in this specific hand you cant always say that or that hand is unlikely because he would have raised pre, have to consider the psychological aspect that many players especially in this games just limp when they see a family pot brewing or sometimes squeeze in late positions with medium strong hands or do the durrrr.
greetings from austria, love your youtube content.
hey doug
just wanr to say you help my game so much i become from good 1 2 player to crush 5 10
enjoy every video keep up the good work 💓
That's how Andrew Neeme originally spelled?
Shouldn't Benyamine call with the queen high flush here? And doesn't Ivey's check on the turn make it hard for him to represent too many combos of full house?
despite how deep they are, this game is actually quite small, compared to the aussie millions cash game you played in Doug. 1k 2k with a 2k button ante and occasional 4k Utg straddle. just weird seeing the pot being under 100k by the river in this video.
Doug. Why don't you like a re-raise from Patrik on the flop to isolate Ivey? His KJ would more than likely be the best hand on the flop and I am not sure Benyamine would have call the re-raise on the flop to chase the flush.
Because it's too strong. He's turning his hand face up. Raising someone who's bet out into 7 other players on a board like this is very strong, he could even make Ivey fold.
GJ Doug . How much money do you have right now in chalange?
Hey,Doug! When we can see the continuation of bankroll challenge?
8
what are your thoughts on daniel negreanu relaunching his youtube channel. "Poker hands" + vlog?
Hey Doug, would this be a good spot to overbet on the river if you were Ivey?
can someone explain to me why pocket 2s is a better hand then ace king? im trying to do the math and with ace king u have a 6 out of 50 chance 5 different times of hitting an ace or a king, and if u multiply the 6 by 5 u get 30 out of 50 which comes out to 60%. now i understand that pocket 2s also have a chance of hitting a 2, but it is significantly lower than that of hitting an ace or a king, so why are pocket 2s the slight favorite? any help is greatly appreciated
You have 4 outs (KAAA) two times (there are just two cards to come) actually once the flop hits. That means your probability is roughly
4*2*1/50=4*2*2%=16%
The exact percentage is 22.92% assuming AK does not have a backdoor flushdraw.
next stream? nice thinkin about the hand, thnks for sharing that. take my like
When are you going to do a video on that titan of poker Andrew *_THE LION_* Feldman?
Best poker content bud
Notice Ivey's glance and smirk at the end, like he knows he just got away with murder. hahahahahahahaha
Do you intentionally leave out river commentary?
Doug what do youreccoend is the best hand to get in a game of pocker. Pcok ace??
Dude where do you keep finding this rare footage?
doug did you use to browse /b/?
i think the size of the bet is a bit telling. in my view he cann only do this with a boat if he has the nut flush which hand would call here? benjamin cheket and did not raise preflop. does ivey think the q flush call? ivey also checked the turn. what does he have on the flop? and then he take a really passive line. possible but for me also a sign. last but not least he is phil ivey who loves to do souch plays (olso on television). in my opinion noone want to look bad against him.
Great play by Ivey
Why doesnt pokerstars make a tv poker show with the games finest? Poker has became as dead as it can be. Assuming only Stars can pull that off since they are the monopoly. They would profit and we would watch. Poker after dark was great.
You said it yourself. Poker is almost dead. The novelty wore off. No one would watch it.
John Smith People would watch it but only poker guys, not mainstream as before. Part of that is a players fault how many of these top players see still playing? Maybe a few but most got away from poker and invested the cash etc. it is dead
they made the sharkcage though, that show was an instant hit! Anyone else remembers Shark Cage? No? alrighty then
Ten years ago people had very different styles, they did crazy things and the psychology was a big part of the game. It's was great to watch. Modern high-level GTO play may be more profitable, but it's not as interesting to watch for your average viewer.
BobElHat Let's not forget, these were also very fascinating personalities. All these Poker after Dark and High Stakes Poker show continue to be highly popular on RUclips, and I think the reason is that watching people like Dwan, Ivey, Brunson, Negreanu and entertainers like Laak duke it out
Wondering why Beny didnt re-raise on the turn?
"Don't go broke on limped pot"
Pretty wily play by Ivey. He's shown a knack for picking spots like these throughout his career.
I think Ivey is very credibly representing a boat with K4 or K5, And he figures that it's unlikely his opponents have the Ace of diamonds. Very good spot to bluff and make smaller flushes fold.
It was a perfect board to bluff on. All you have to do is hope no one has a full house and the bluff will get through.
thanks for the video
Don't know why Doug didn't say what he thinks Benyamine should do there. Would have been nice to hear that. I think this fold was right but I would like to hear poker pro's opinion.
lol first time Doug is happy about how one of the old schoolers played the hand... :) the only question is, did he do it for the right reasons, or it's just coincidence....
Why not raise with the flush on the turn? Benyamine worried about the boat? Seams like a clear raise. I mean how likely does his opponents have a bigger flush or full house in this spot?
Makes sense. Thanks for the reply Fza
A chance to bluff? Like, exactly what happened, then he fold and lost? So, he not raising on the turn didnt avoid that, right?
Because he is not a complete donk to check raise a flush that isn't nuts on a paired board with two people behind him to act, and another street to go. Might work out well in your 1/2 games.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
VAMOSSSSSSSSSS
troll rating 9/11
i said he is from brasil
Ivey vs Timex stare off, give the people what they want!
thanks for the upload Doug, i throw my dongers up everyday.
sitting at Benyamine shoes, Ivey can easily have A2 with A of diamonds. What do you think?
possibly, but ivey isnt the type to bet just to protect his hand. He
might just check especially if he has ace of diamonds to get to the
turn. Theres 2 combinations of k5s that are more likely IMO.
Also I think ivey is good enough to turn lots of small flushes into bluffs, and we can see that he tirns lots of kings into bluffs.
This is a pretty rare spot tho so i doubt benyamine knows ivey does this a lot. knowing that hes capable of this now makes this a call obv, but i dont hate the fold bc its a bluff catcher
Havent seen bens last action yet but if i call he has a boat, if i fold he has trips , funny how it always works out that way
Keep it up man
Phil Ivey the greatest
Good job!
Ivey is down several million online since Black Friday and can't beat online games anymore. Probably by making plays like this. People figured out his game and crushed him.
JohnBlvze > Ivey
It's jon not john! Don't disrespect the Blaze! Blaze would call w/ Q9dd
+Michelle sorry :(
I bluffed
I have trips
Ivey is a fucking straight boss.
I always like how you say something like 'they didnt raise PF, so they prob will not have king's' Meanwhile 2 other have a king :) I understand what you are saying but everyone tries to play the opposite of what is supposed to the right play? Isn't that the goal in poker?
Goddammit I love Phil Ivey!
Noooo! i can't believe that
Fucking Ivey man, he always sniffs out good spots to bluff, its unreal.
Really only watched for the bank roll challenge...not getting anymore of those, busted on that I guess...
Can we get a "What is up guys?" for the next Poker Hands?
It may be better to not talk about Gus' knee?!
Wait so with the second best flush Benyamine fears K2, K4, 22, 44, A diamonds? That's so few hands out of their ranges. Other than that Quads clip, I've never seen this guy play well. Is he just like Elizra and loses money for fun?
K5 is also in there and considering the action it is very possible Ivey has a boat. Phil looks insanely strong because he bet into 2 people who showed strength durin the hand. At that point, Benyamine is only beating a bluff
I just wanted to point out that 44 isn't really that much of a concern given the flop (KK2) action and K5 is also possible. Other than that, I agree with thatazn12. Benjamine needs to assume that phil is bluffing like 31% of the time to justify a call.
Given the hand he did bet with in this position:
A2, A3, A4, A5 (Suited Spades, Hearts or Clubs)
K7, K8, K6 (Suited Spades, Hearts, or Clubs)
(J)(7-10) Suited Diamonds.
25 hands
Can you list the ranges of hands he wins with?
A3, A6, A7, A8, A9 (Diamonds)
K2, K4, K5 (suited Spades, Hearts or Clubs)
22 (any suit)
20 hands
Plus whatever range of non-suited Ace-of-diamonds hands you think he is playing, but not raising pre-flop.
Ivey, just a fucking genius.
Why does Benyamine put any money after the flop if he's not going to take it all the way to showdown? Maybe he should have folded this hand pre-flop?
He's playing scared money. And Ivey knows it.
How the hell did Feldman get in this game, anyway?
@Doug Polk poker why play the tape and then analyze? can you play the tape, turn sound off and throw in your analysis as play unfolds? it's a tad annoying to have you go back over it again and again.
isnt it kind of risky raising with a KK on the flop #/????
sorry in relation to ou saying raising with the flush draw ?
I'm trying to figure out the analysis here... really nothing except to show a cool hand. I mean seriously I can do play by play on a poker hand too....
Is Phil really flatting a FH on the turn against two players when it is sure that someone actually has a King for sure ? No. Never. Is he actually betting the river that big with just a flush ? Not really. Is Phil capable of converting a weak King into a bluff against two players to protect his hand ? Yes. Ofcourse. So I think it is a CALL especially after Patrick folded.
so sick
a of dia isnt in his hand obv
Rename the river to the Polk Avenue
there are a lot of people that say : ivey don´t know play poker ..... now all is gto y bla bla ... ivey is it the best !
