As a Taiwanese who ride GIANT bikes all my life, after traveling to Amsterdam for many times, I finally tried a Dutch bike (Gazelle) to experience a whole new riding world. Highly appreciate European biking culture and wish more and more Canadian cities adopt this for more healthier citizens, cleaner environment, less traffic jams, better local business, and more.
After ONLY 3 months of use List of n bicycle repairs that you need to consider: 1- Bosch Motor make noise when I force pedal to gain speed or when I climb (it was changed) 2- Back suspension (shock) loose air each +or - 120 Km 3- Loose eShifth very often (I see it on Nyon display it disappears completely) it is hard to pedal when I stop at red light or else 4- Display Nyon show me CRAZY speed like I am at 18 K/h and it show me 33, 28,76,43 not all the time it happen few times 5- Battery covers fall down when I ride for no reason 6- When I fill up the tires at 50psi the tire touches the screws under the fenders (front and back) it is minor thing 7- The BRC351 water get inside stop work completely I was 87 Km from my house I pay a town truck to came home 8- Tension spring rust after catch first rain 9- The fender in the back shacking to much and make noise #6. #8, #9 this are minor problems I can deal with it if it is possible to do anything I appreciated but is not because of that I will complain
My (winter) bike had hydraulic disc brakes. I had to replace them with cable disc brakes because my bike is stored outside all winter in Montreal. As the most extreme cold days are more frequent here than in Toronto, my old hydraulic brakes ended up exploding (the fluid leaked out and it stopped working). It would be interesting if you could address this question more precisely because there seems to be a good debate in the Montreal winter cycling community against hydraulic brakes if your bike spends the day outside all winter.

Does the same happen to cars? If not can you not just use car brakefluid?
@@KeVIn-pm7pu I am neither a bicycle mechanic nor an expert on bicycle brake fluids, so I don't know how to answer your question.
Can Bromptons be used during winters?
Wet naps for cleaning
I use them too 🙂
Nope , will NOT ride mine in the winter. WAY too much salt on the road to damage my expensive E bikes!!
