I'm so glad that they finally got to Celldweller
Clayton, maa man, you rock. specially on 90s cd "metamorphosis" tracks like "contagion" "deviate" and "consequence eternal mix".
I remember when COD first release that album. I played that thing to death. Klayton was way ahead of this time. Wish you would play Seattle.
I am a big fan of Brainchild and Under Midnight. I don't understand why more bands didn't exist in the Industrial realm. People don't realize how many layers exist in music, whether the instrumentation is real or computer generated.
Holy crap, haven't jammed Circle of Dust in forever!!
Welcome back the new Circle of Dust
This is AWESOME!!! Thanks for a great vid!
Lmao "it's going to scream at you louder than your mom will after she caught you with the playboy magazine" 😂😂😂 omg
YO I DID NOT EXPECT THIS.
YOOOOOOOOO
Those modular racks, holy fuck.
Todesnuss He only buys more.
Looking forward to seeing his new spot being built in LA
MORTAL Fathom track 7 brought me hear. God bless Circle of Dust and Mortal and the gang.
Fathom is definitely a foundational album of the 90's. Easily in my top 3 albums and Brainchild is awfully close as well, album wise.
@@WayneNowacki, when I discovered that Terry Scott Taylor and others from Daniel Amos (I believe) had an influence on Mortal Fathom, I jumped with gladness, because I like TST and DA, and suspected the influence. Also, I will look into Brainchild. Thanks!
I tried to listen to the whole documentary without throwing on the album. I didn't make it past 75% of the video before having to getting it out of my system.
Dude what is that synth with the blue lights that he had above the MosValve. I must know 😍😍😍😍😍
Looks like a modified ARP 2600
Roland system 100m
I wish he went through his synth collection.
heey Emo Dad, long time no see!
His new hair looks even more like a rooster.
That's a lot of gear
thx
That is awesome! Funny thing is that just TODAY one hour ago I started studying protools for market reasons and then I come to this video and he is using CUBASE (which I use).. That's just to make me confused on which path to go :(
It's not about the DAW. Whatever DAW that works best with you that you know and understand is the best DAW. Its all very subjective. I personally use Logic.
+Chris Hansen unfortunatelly it is about the daw when you have to work on somebody else's studio and thats all they v got :(
Every one should know how to use pro tools, once you know how to use that then every other DAW is pretty easy to switch to. I use Pro Tools in the studio for bands and use Logic X at home for song writing and to produce youtube videos for another channel.
+NXN Music agreed! cheers
Klay used ProTools for years (along with FL Studio for a lot of the arrangements) and got fed up of it for a number of reasons. He's a lot happier with Cubase. Having used both myself, I have to give it to Cubase for the stability alone. I also find it a lot easier to edit in Cubase, which is something you do a lot in a hybrid metal-electronic environment.
You might be thinking, "what does this have to do with metal" *wires and analog panels everywhere (NASA launch?) .. I suddenly think of films like Ghost in the Shell & wonder, how can they NOT be related. He's The Man who built the bridge, whether he knows it or not!
does klayton shave his arms? looks like.
Is that 4 nickel-wounded strings on your Les Paul?!
It's common for tunings lower than C Standard.
he looks like a rooster.
he has outboard gear heaven but his mixes suck so bad
interested to see yours :D
Said the fuckboy who needs acoustic guitar tutorials
What does outboard gear have to do with guitars?
The only thing I'd identify as a negative in his mixes is the general lack of dynamics, which, given, is a huge part of mixing music. Other than that, there's a clarity in his songs, particularly the later Celldweller material, that is second to none. Every instrument, drum hit, synth, vocal, etc. is just exactly where it needs to be in the mix. I guess his approach to mixing music conforms in a way to his approach to writing and arranging music. Different styles require different approaches. Why would you say his mixes suck?
Dude, go to a local black professional barbershop and get a fresh fade.
Lose the red bullshit hair
Lose the bangs that are reserved for women.
And soldier up
So fake guitar fake drums SMG studio would rip you aha
who need real guitar and
drums?
Callum Smith SMG rips wannabe metal bands. Klayton is not a wannabe and he doesn't play metal - he just does whatever the hell he wants.
You mean like when you see a chihuahua barking hysterically at a 5x bigger dog?
