I mean I like the lore but the real reason Mario ended up underground is because of the pipe he went through at the top of 1-2 and how the end of the original 1-2 had a pipe that led you to the top. But idc what your opinion is that’s just my theory

I love Sonic CD and now that it got mixed with Mario it's even better. I can understand that it reminded you about Sonic because music from 1-2 Past was Quartz Quadrant Past from Sonic CD, 1-3 Bad Future was Oil Ocean from Sonic 2 (smog from Sonic Mania, Act 2) and the Metal Mario race is the Metal Sonic race on Stardust Speedway with the same track playing in the background (Stardust Speedway Bad Future, US ver.). Although you didn't show it, as I thought and is seen in the credits there should be a Good Future once you rescue the flower (like in Sonic CD). So if you go to the past, save the flower and then go to the future it will be changed.

@@adash1018 It just made sense to me that there is a good future. When something is inspired by Sonic CD there are always all outcomes: Past, Present, Good and Bad Futures (especially when there's time travel).
Also 1-4 future was death egg zone from sonic 2

Seeing this makes me wish the time travel mechanism in Sonic CD was polished up in future games. You can make some cool levels out of this

So when you destroy the little electric thing in the past you have to go to the future in order to see the Good Future

The jumping Yoshi sprite is awesome. It kinda looks like a Yoshi-shaped pogo stick.
Loved it! Would've been interesting if it was more "puzzly" in the sense of having to travel back and forth between past, present and future to reach the end of each level. But overall it was still awesome. Keep up the great work!

That's what I was assuming as well, but this was still very good. It makes me wonder if you can beat the game in different parts, i.e., can you beat every level in past, present and future, or is there only 1 ending per level?

World 1-3’s bad future is based off of Oil Ocean Zone Act 2 from Sonic Mania, even with the detail of taking damage over time from the smoke, as well as the music and background.
The 1-4 future boss fight is based off of the Sonic CD Stardust Speedway boss fight, including the US version of the bad future’s theme.
And 1-2’s past’s theme is just Quartz Quadrant’s past theme.

Edit 2: 1-4 is basically metal sonic race from sonic cd in a nutshell. Also, it has the same song (NES remix though)

The 8-bit Quartz Quadrant past for 1-2 was beautiful
Now that's what I call the real Mario's Time Machine.
The future of 1-3 is just Oil ocean zone from Sonic 2 because it has the same music but just 8 bit and it looks the same as oil ocean
And the Metal Mario boss fight is just a clone Metal Sonic, it even has the same music, just 8-bit

BTG, this is kinda Sonic CD! Saving flowers, going past-present-future, different level layouts in each and every time! Oh, btw 1-3 FUTURE is kind of Oil Ocean Zone ACT 2 from Sonic Mania with the fog! Also, it was inspired by Sonic 2's Oil Ocean! EDIT: The Metal Mario race is very similar to Sonic CD's Metal Sonic race! Oh, and there's a good and a bad future in Sonic CD, so maybe if you'll find all the flowers, (Robot generators in Sonic) you will get a good future!

BTG Tip for Metal Mario Race: When your behind Metal Mario he will use invincibility. When you are ahead, he will boost forward and with invincibility. Best strategy is to get ahead as much as possible once you start the race, be alert of his boost.
