I pressed play and looked away only to look back as soon at that music started - then read the notes. 🤣 Another place that I've not been with a camera but walked that way many years ago. I recall that it's a bit of a slog up to Dale Head but a great walk and then on along Hindscarth Edge. Love that first image with the warm light in the foreground and the variations of light in the clouds. Of course, the others were good too. Thanks for the upload.
Last visit I made to Dalehead was a cracker; bus to Honister Mine, the lung buster, as you rightly describe it, then along the ridge to High Spy, Maiden Moor and down over Cat Bells, then ferry back to Keswick and a pint in the Lake Road Inn. Photos were rubbish, but the walk was a belter. Your faith in the forecast certainly paid off with that one. Cracking images and, as always, many thanks for sharing.
Hi Stuart, another grand day out, thanks for sharing. so to say you're not such a fan of the "piece to camera" it surely doesn't detract from the photography! I was going to day sublime, but I see someone else has used that term already, so let's just say if I ever get any image of mine anywhere near as good as those, the photographer inside me will leave this world a happy man!
Hi Steve thanks for watching - it certainly can detract, evenings like this one you can dodge a few bullets and get what you’re after but in the long run I end up missing stuff that I wouldn’t normally. My images will usually always be of a high standard because it’s my job but the videos do compromise the ability to do that at times.
Great music at the start! Nice to shake it up a bit and it matches the awesome scenery! I've found that listening to music that is new to me can help inspire new creativity in my photography; and this is good inspiration to get back over to the lakes. Oh and the final images were lovely too!
Wonderful talk through of what you go through to get an image and how you really put the effort into the composition something I will constantly not put enough effort with. Cracking image Stu and I paused the video when the shot finally appeared full screen just to marvel at it, well done. atb Al
I actually liked the wildly inappropriate music, obviously why i struggle on this platform. Really nice first image with the rocks in the foreground and equally stunning images after that, the light really good on the last couple. Really enjoyable watch , lovely scenery well captured as always mate. Hope your well, take care !
Thanks mate I like the music too though it probably doesn’t match well with the gentle Lake District landscape and greenery 🤣 but then I also absolutely hate the music folk put alongside ‘normal’ landscape videos so it’s a pickle lol though also, I don’t give a f*** 🤣
The second image you put up at the end of the video is my favourite, in fact, I wish you'd spent more time on that kind of scene than the one with the rocks (which is also lovely)
Just found your channel through a post on Threads… I know you were frustrated that this video was being seen less then talking head videos… but I’ve loved it. Lots of inspiration for my own channel! New sub.
Magnificent shot and vista. Your eye is just guided thro the whole interesting image so well. Like the documentary style of "trials of a landscape photographer" as you anticipate how it may or may not come off as the evening unfolds which I find really engaging. Thanks very Stuart 😊
Great to finally get to call in at the gallery the other weekend Stuart and another enjoyable video with beautiful images - on the music front , not sure if use Epidemic Sound , but they’ve introduced a new feature called soundmatch - just play the selected footage and the AI suggests suitable tracks for you ! I’ve used it a few times now and it works a treat!
Nice to see you mate , the music: problem is I hate all landscape music in videos, it’s this generic soft/ethereal nonsense that I’d never ever listen to other than when making a video 🤣
Just catching up with YT after being away at RIAT last weekend, then not being particularly well for a couple of days. Watching your video has perked me right up, lovely images and a good rendition of the effort that has to be put into getting a decent capture. Loved the music at the beginning too, it suited the atmosphere 😁
Beautiful work Stuart. Two thoughts always come to mind when watching your videos such as this one. First are you hiking alone and second, how do you find your way back down in the dark?
Stunning views and images Stuart and often wondered why Nikon don't change the crop feature especially when other brands allow you to do it without losing the full megapixels
Lovely video bud. Just how I like them. In my opinion there is no reason why more rock based music can’t be in vlogs!!🤘🏻If people watched these types of vids they will get the ‘top tips’ eg river placed between rocks, shooting wide with a view to crop etc , it just doesn’t need to be announced in the title wording!! Superb shots in the final selection.
Well it certainly looked like it was well worth the effort. The conditions came good in the end. The image is superb. Is it one you've been wanting for the Gallery? Or was this just for your own personal gratification?
The last image for me is superb, a bit foreground heavy on the shot you was explaining but personal taste I guess. Great vlog....loved the inappropriate music haha
I never use in camera crops, so that doesn't bother me. Also, most of my landscapes don't fit standard shaped formats. If I crop, it's to fit the composition.
That light was well worth waiting for. Superb!
Thanks Maureen
Your patience paid off, Stuart; beautiful images!
Thanks Gary
Well worth the wait for that light, stunning
Thanks Ian
Stunning photo mate thanks for sharing 👍 📸 📸 📸
Thanks Andy
Beautiful shot at the end there Stuart. Well worth the long wait.
Thanks Paul

Cheers yeah it’s one of those where the walk isn’t the most scenic (well not from Honister anyway) but the views are stunning

Thanks Steve yep it’s a cracking walk, I’ve my eye on Hindscarth in a few weeks when the Heather is out
Another fab video Stu, well worth waiting it out.
Cheers Lisa
What a wonderful video Stuart, your patience & professionalism certainly paid of in the pictures captured
Cheers Shaun

I actually think the very last shot is the best of the bunch 🤌
Cheers I prefer the first one but they’re all great views up there
Enjoyed this one Stuart! Patience paid off. Lovely image
Cheers mate
Cracking final shot. Worth the wait. Looking forward to the November workshop.

Thanks Karl
Good video and a nice image. I must get out more.

Thanks mate yeah it’s a bit of a slog but well worth it
Always look forward to your videos. That final image is sublime. I don’t mind the choice of music either, it’s your platform to do as you wish!. 👍😎
Cheers Simon glad you enjoyed it

Thanks mate appreciate that, yeah I get sick of the same type of music so thought I’d change it
I agree, I noticed the music choice. It was a great introduction!
I WANT MORE wildly inappropriate music - next time a Polka!! Love it Stuart
🤣 cheers
But I LOVE the music for the intro!
Haha 👍👍

Thanks, impossible to video that bit to be honest as that light only lasted about 2 minutes, I didn’t have time to even get the tripod set up lol
@@StuartMcGlennon Ah, I see. I didn't take that into account at all 🙂

Stunning work as always Stuart, all 3 images a delight to see come together. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much 👍
That view.. it looks almost surreal! Thanks for the content Stuart. Beautiful images.
Thanks Kate 👍

It’s a bizarre one, literally makes no sense and probably a 30 second job to code in the software

Both probably - it’s one I needed a more recent version of for sure so was a good job done
Very pleasant
Thanks

so damn nice!

Well worth the 50/50 of going out mate, also loving the drone work. The cruise control feature is SO good !

Great.
Doesn't have weather sealing, whereas the r7 does
You’ve lost me
Dale head, you just want to jump off with a paraglider and land in a pub carpark for a pint. 😊
Haha yeah probably a great tale off point
Liking the inappropriate music. Good view.
Thanks
