VERY rusty VW T4 progress! Drivers rear quarter, inner arch, rear valance, chassis repairs and more!

Just a quick update video to show some more progress on my very rusty T4 van!
In this video I repaired the drivers side rear quarter, inner arch, built out the entire corner section, including the rear valance, the tailgate latch panel, the tailgate seal lip, braced out the chassis some more and cleaned and prepped it ready for the floorpan sections to go in - this will be in a future video!
I've also started to gather some parts for getting the van back down on the ground and rolling again. New bearings, new hubs, bushes for the arms etc.

Another top job 👏, what would you recommend to spray over my repairs once stripped but before new panels are fitted considering mine will be an outside job, and did you fit new quarter up behind remaining panel ie did you joggle the new panel ? Cheers 👍

Cheers Gary, for coating bare metal I always use epoxy primer, it’s water tight unlike other primers and I seem to get away fine with welding through it too.
For the quarters yes I joggled a 10mm step in the repair panel and slipped it up behind the existing remaining panel, best to join the quarter along the swage if you can, it should keep most of its strength then! Best of luck with the repairs, cheers
