@@Luca_5425I think its quicker because you don't switch between arms meaning you dont have to hold on and let go with both and instead do it with one. You can see how once he gets the hang of it you get a lot of momentum and fly up far quicker.

Knowing it took me over an hour on my best attempt to see people just swinging through... I mention this to state my ignorance on the issue but I wonder just how close the human record can get to the TAS record (which is just absurd at this point, especially considering how short the game has been out). If I could even complete this in half an hour I'd feel like a champion lol...
@@jetjazz05 I'd say human limit could be sub 4 after a year or two. There are still many places where you can do the quick climb and stuff but requires extremely precise grabs. There are still small skips discovered here and there. For example, the sandbag skip is extremely hard but can save about 3 seconds.

Dang. The climber in this game works so hard for just a moment of rest. There is no moment in thisngame that he can relax his muscles without falling and drowning, he has to stay active every second, and then you beat it, and he gets to jusy float for a moment, only to emerge in the water once again.
I litterally don't even want to try so speed run it every in any way. I'm just glad to make it to the end. But from those videos you can learn about the optimal way to do it and mostly much easier way to get forward to skip even some annoying passages and save some time instead of trying to use some confusing platforms, grabs and gribs which totally can be ignored to go ahead. xD
This dude cuts 20+ seconds off the world record every time. And every time I lose my freaking mind because I thought the optimization had peaked the last time. This is crazy
