Thats not right. It means you are strong in Christ if you want to avoid sin and to know your weaknesses to your besetting sin. You don't run to sin to get strong in Christ. Being in Christ Jesus means you want to repent and confess and turn from your old ways not to try to become weak to sin in flesh but to rely on Jesus Christ when the storm comes. We are called to walk in the spirit not the flesh a new creature in Christ. Romans 12:1-2.
Wow. So true. I have been struggling with this. I thought it was just me that I am not good enough for God to love me. Now I see it for what it is. Yes I am vile and will be until Jesus comes to take us home. This man's teaching is a blessing. Thank You Heavenly Father. Thank You Jesus. 💙
My God, this message speaks so much to my heart, i always thank God and the Lord Jesus for true servants like Spurgeon, who equip us with the truth, that give us comfort, in our struggle with the undesired sin, to which we so often lose the fight, and, the truth that, sends us on our face before our loving God and Father, with renewed genuine hearty thanks and worship of our great God...
I personally think it's a beautiful thing to be able to peacefully accept this is who we are naturally we are vile instead of trying to pretend we are good and ignoring ourselves. (Not to say sin is beautiful don't get me wrong)

This great truth was not given me when l first believed and because of that l suffered many unnecessary trials until God came to my rescue.

I've found that the only way to fight indwelling sin is to die to it. It will always stand outside your door so you must be on guard.
Job 40:3 Then Job answered the Lord, and said, 4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

I feel that a lot of saved Christians are still babes on milk and not on meat because they are receiving MILK SERMONS.
