A beautiful song, which inspires such precious memories in my heart & spirit!!! I was baptized & confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 14 December 1985 (30 years ago later this coming December)! During my baptism service, this beautiful song was sung by 2 sister missionaries & 1 sister member! Though it's been so many years, I still love hearing this beautiful song! Thank you so much for posting it here!
i love this song.. i am thankful to the Missionaries who found me and teach me the gospel of Jesus Christ.. Thank you sister Wendy Moore and Sister Jane Plaira Rollog for being the instrument of God to find the way going back to our Heavenly Father..July 12, 1992 when i got baptized and today is July 12, 2016.. it's been 24 years since the missionaries found me and taught me the gospel..
When I was in middle school and high school, my sister used to play this song on the piano all the time. I didn't like it because she played it all the time, but now it's been over 20 years since I have listened to it and I miss it. This song is a wonderful description of our Heavenly Father's plan. Proclaim and the gospel and seek our Father's children so they can return to our Heavenly Father's presence. I Love this song/hymn.
I had never heard this song before my mission; it wasn't very popular where I grew up. I was surprised to find how popular it had become where I served in Japan. The song seemed to take on a special tender meaning for the Japanese members and though I didn't necessarily understand all of the words in Japanese, I could always feel the Spirit so strongly to the point of tears every time I heard it. I loved it.
My favourite song of all... As I served my mission in Australia Sydney North Mission from 2013-2015 I love to sing it on missionary fireside..... I felt so much love from my heavenly father
I just love this song I used to sing to those we taught the gospel in the mission during their baptism! I have tears of joy while my youngest daughter played the piano and we sing together. Thank you for sharing ❤️💗💗!
Every time i feel lonely and have problems and i want that the spirit will help and comfort me, I'm just listening to any LDS songs , its really uplifting and inspired me to go on fighting this earth life. I know God loves me and i know my hardship and being his daughter time will come that I'll be with him again someday free from all worries...
Beautiful church song...you can't imagine...hope one day when I am call to serve our Lord Jesus Christ....thats my friends out there will accept me....hope one day ha...

Talk to your leaders in your area and see if you can get involved in the 12 Step Program that the Church uses to help us. I am so sorry that you are struggling with alcoholism!
Honey and the spirit of our Lord can cure it, the body craves sugar and the soul craves the closeness of God. Read and study the Book of Mormon with me I'll begin at the beginning with you. I Nephi having been born of goodly Parents........and each time you feel like taking a drink take a tablespoon of honey, make sure its organic and from your area. then get the BOM and open it and I will be with you and the Lord of miracles also. When will these local events be made into a Town Forum/Podcast or Webinar? Elder and Sister David A Bednar will be answering questions over the internet on May 12th, 2015.
I happened to be hard of hearing and I wish all songs are closed captions so I can understand the songs. I love music and can hear the sounds but too deaf to discern the words. Pls do something, you tube.
Does anyone know where I can buy the sheet music for this wonderful song? I have tried to find it with no success, and I just love it so much. It reminds me of when I served with the YW in Rosetta Ward, Belfast NI Stake. We had some talented singers and we loved to sing this.

I noticed a lot of users looking for the lyrics and I wanted to post them to help if this can: There was this place called the pre-existence . Where we lived with our friends so dear . A council was called and plan were made . Free agency is why we're here . Our Savior said ,"Please find my lost sheep , and teach them and bring them home" I promised my Savior I'd find them . And teach them the way to go . Chorus:I'll go and find you my friend , I'll help you . Our Savior's plan is the way . Please accept me when i find you . And we'll be back with Him someday . Remember the worth of souls is great in the light and the sight of God . Look and search and teach His sheep to find the Iron Rod . My time has come to teach the gospel . There are souls out there who are gold. The gospel of Jesus Christ rolls forth and this is what they need to be told . And if your joy be great with one soul . You have taught and have brought unto me . How great will your heart be exalted . To bring many unto me . * Chorus I'll find you there my friend.
Kelly Crutcher I have been looking for this song. Thank you so much for putting it out here. This was my home coming song for my mission many years ago. Brought back great memories.
This is so close to what actually happened. WOW! Pretty close. Just change the names a little bit and give credit to those beings who sent us to Earth and you'll be right on.
I do not desire to place a negative cast on what good might be presented here. However, Truth & Scripture always trumps good. What the LDS (which present this) fail to recognize about this "extraordinary many" is that He was--and is--Immanuel... God in flesh. Only Jesus' blood can save us.
LDS is actually short for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We agree with you Terry-Patricia Lampel! :) It is only because of the atonement of Jesus Christ that any of us can return to live with our Father in Heaven.
Terry-Patricia! Good afternoon to you! I hope this message finds you doing wonderfully well today! I completely understand that you have been led to believe that Mormons (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) do not, one-hundred percent, believe in Jesus Christ as our Saviour. However, we absolutely do! There is no other one but Jesus Christ who paid the piercing price for our sins! As a convert, I know the teachings of the opposition and can assure those in doubtl that Mormons fully embrace, and with extreme gratitude, understand that it is the Saviour's atoning blood that is the single, and only way, that we can return to our Heavenly Father to live eternally with Him. It is perfectly alright to disagree with us, as we accept and embrace everyone's choice to worship as they feel they should. We love and accept you without any conditions -- as we are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. We truly have so much more in common that we do in our differences. May we all celebrate and rejoice in the love provided to us by our Saviour, Jesus Christ -- the one and only!
kim ramey Amen, Kim... I believe those of us who beieve in the divinely-inspired, God-breathed Scriptures must stand for the truth Our Father in heaven gave us, but to do so in as loving gracious manner, being fully ready to accept as a brother or sister in the faith anyone who has placed their faith & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, both as their Savior & Lord.
I appreciate that you think you're doing the right thing and at least are not being rude about it. But remember also that the Pharisees, including the Apostle Paul (before his conversion), also thought they were doing the right thing by rejecting the Savior and His teachings. They attempted to use Old Testament verses to prove that He was wrong because He was adding so much to the gospel that they didn't understand. That's all that is happening today. Many Christians don't bother to actually learn what the doctrine of the LDS church is. If you did you would know that we are followers of the Savior, Jesus Christ, and have a deeper understanding of the gospel and especially the doctrine of the atonement. We not only believe in Him but we understand why the atonement was necessary, why mercy could not overcome justice, why justice had to be satisfied, and many other aspects of it. While specific knowledge like this is not necessary for salvation it does strengthen our testimony of God and the Savior. So... maybe you should find out a bit more about us before you take the attitude that we don't know who God and the Savior are.
These people who made the video put my face and clothing in it, without even them ever seeing or meeting me. A miracle from God.

There was this place

Where we lived with our friends so dear

Free agency is why we're here
Our Savior said
Please find my lost sheep
and teach them and bring them home
I promised my Savior
I'd find them
And teach them the way to go
I'll go and find you my friend
I'll help you
Our Savior's plan
Is the way
Please accept me
When I find you
And we'll be back
with Him someday
Remember the worth
of souls is great
In the light
and the sight of God
Look and search
And teach his sheep
To find the Iron Rod
Look and search
And teach his sheep
To find the iron Rod
My time has come
To teach the gospel
There are souls out there who are gold
The gospel of Jesus
Christ rolls forth
And this is what they need to be told
And if your joy
be great
with one soul
You have taught and have brought unto me
How great will your heart be exalted
To bring many unto me
I'll go and find you my friend
I'll help you
Our Savior's plan is the way
Please accept me when
i find you
And we'll be back

Repeat ♬

I remember my mission
I love this song!
I noticed a lot of users looking for the lyrics and I wanted to post them to help if this can:
There was this place called the pre-existence .
Where we lived with our friends so dear .
A council was called and plan were made .
Free agency is why we're here .
Our Savior said ,"Please find my lost sheep , and teach them and bring them home"
I promised my Savior I'd find them .
* Chorus
I'll find you there my friend.

This is so close to what actually happened. WOW! Pretty close. Just change the names a little bit and give credit to those beings who sent us to Earth and you'll be right on.
email me for a copy of the sheet music.
I promised my savior I'd find them
I do not desire to place a negative cast on what good might be presented here.
