I met Jeff Goodrich about 5 years ago. He is a humble man, neither a musician nor a professional songwriter. His inspiration for his songs comes from seeking to do God's will. In this he has obviously been successful. His wife told me he goes to the mountains for a few days and when he returns, he has one or more new songs. He first wrote one of his more notable songs, "I Heard Him Come" at age 16. They are so touching and inspirational. There are none like them.

In 1901 my dad was born in Amoy,China,I was born in 1958 and my dad was 58 yrs old he got an accident that brought him to hospitalize for almost a yr.A group of born again visited the hosp,and gave a small bible to papa,since then papa became a follower of Christ,each time he have good earnings he would invite the poor the sick,the orphan,in short the needy ,when he passed away,,three days before,he told me there is a bright light surrounding a person and looks like Jesus Christ very pleasant to come along as the guy extending hands to make me come along to Him.My papa just went to sleep at 90 yrs old,no struggles,he said ,here he comes I am going with him and he pass...all praises to our Lord God n Christ.
My mom would play this while she got ready for church every Sunday while I was waking up & it brings me so much comfort. I’m grateful for Jesus Christ❤️

I play this song often so it can feel my heart in mind with the spirit of the Lord ! If you have the spirit with you most of the time how can you ever get depressed. Pharmaceuticals are a waste of time and money. He has promised if we humble ourselves he will heal us. This is a guarantee forever. It just takes time and that's all we have is time. Be patient and wait on Him! I can tell you what the secret of life is, it's simple. ( It's called repentance) and guess what it's free. Take all you want and then more. The Lord said come follow me !
There's a real difference between clinical depression and just feeling down. There's already enough of a stigma attached to depression, especially the pharmaceutical aspect. For some, they aren't necessary, but there are plenty of people who need them to recover from the true illness that depression can be. You wouldn't tell someone struggling with an infection to just put on some nice music and expect everything to just get better.
Ths was one of my sons favourite song. We had a dear friend Jay Elkington sing it as his funeral in 2013", and it was sung so beautifully. We always think of Jesse when we hear this song. It also gives us great comfort and we know we'll be with our boy again. I love this gospel.

This song reminds me of the mission, one day while reading doctrine and covenants 19 and meditating on verse 18 where it says "suffering that made me, God, the greatest of all, tremble from pain and bleed from every pore and suffer, both in the body and in the spirit, and he wished he did not have to drink the bitter cup and pass out. " As I began to think about the Savior's suffering, my tears fell down my cheek, while my partner listened to this theme. He wanted to tell me about the song and when he saw me he told me if I understood the lyrics, I said no, and we realized that the lyrics were related, we cried together, and we made a prayer of gratitude for the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Getting closer to the Lord is the beginning of a new Life to Come! Yes it is hard to get through that kind of stuff but the reward it's worth it the Lord will help you. Ask him for everything you need most important ask for strength and you will receive it and that's a promise ! It will make you a better person. Have a prayer in your heart daily because that matters and read those scriptures ! You may be doing all of this all I can say is never stop because the new dawn will be here before you know it. Just be patient, all of us will never make it through this life without many heartbreaks !

The first time I heard this song was in was 19yrs old in my apartment while I was serving a mission in 2006. Since then till now it's been 17yrs and whenever I heard this song I still feel the spirit, I still remember that apartment and the wonderful missionaries I served with then.

There is power behind it, Gods power. Don't listen to anyone who says it's not true because the only thing that can happen is you get further away from your Lord and Redeemer.

I play this song often so it can feel my heart in mind with the spirit of the Lord ! If you have the spirit with you most of the time how can you ever get depressed. Pharmaceuticals are a waste of time and money. He has promised if we humble ourselves he will heal us. This is a guarantee forever. It just takes time and that's all we have is time. Be patient and wait on Him! I can tell you what the secret of life is, it's simple. ( It's called repentance) and guess what it's free. Take all you want and then more. The Lord said come follow me !
There's a real difference between clinical depression and just feeling down. There's already enough of a stigma attached to depression, especially the pharmaceutical aspect. For some, they aren't necessary, but there are plenty of people who need them to recover from the true illness that depression can be. You wouldn't tell someone struggling with an infection to just put on some nice music and expect everything to just get better.

Ths was one of my sons favourite song. We had a dear friend Jay Elkington sing it as his funeral in 2013", and it was sung so beautifully. We always think of Jesse when we hear this song. It also gives us great comfort and we know we'll be with our boy again. I love this gospel.
Your son is Great Hands now, like my son Kirky, he suffered of cancer, and now, he is playing this song and many he loves playing on the piano. The awesome thing is, we will see and be with our families forever!
I love this song so much. My sister sang this a couple years ago in church and it was really beautiful. She is now on a mission. I listen to this song and think of my sister and her beautiful voice. This is a really great song to lift your spirits when you're not feeling so hot. I love this because it makes me think of my Lord and Savior.

This song reminds me of the mission, one day while reading doctrine and covenants 19 and meditating on verse 18 where it says "suffering that made me, God, the greatest of all, tremble from pain and bleed from every pore and suffer, both in the body and in the spirit, and he wished he did not have to drink the bitter cup and pass out. "
As I began to think about the Savior's suffering, my tears fell down my cheek, while my partner listened to this theme.
He wanted to tell me about the song and when he saw me he told me if I understood the lyrics, I said no, and we realized that the lyrics were related, we cried together, and we made a prayer of gratitude for the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

Getting closer to the Lord is the beginning of a new Life to Come! Yes it is hard to get through that kind of stuff but the reward it's worth it the Lord will help you. Ask him for everything you need most important ask for strength and you will receive it and that's a promise ! It will make you a better person. Have a prayer in your heart daily because that matters and read those scriptures ! You may be doing all of this all I can say is never stop because the new dawn will be here before you know it. Just be patient, all of us will never make it through this life without many heartbreaks !

I am from PNG - My served June 2000 - Dec 2001 in the ABM - Our Toowoomba, District sung this song a few weeks before I left and it was the most humbling feeling I had before I returned home - Elders Nicholas, Saddler, Berryman & Sister Kaisa.
