    Will +Mesh also work with other Bluetooth Headsets? I got a Buyee one and friends of mine have Sena, could I connect with my friends with this adapter?

    • @D.E.X
      @D.E.X 3 года назад +1

      I'm not from Sena, up front.
      The +Mesh only likes to pair with Sena.
      Sena's MeshPort Blue Adapter senaindustrial.com/products/meshport-blue connects to Non-Sena intercoms that can connect to things like a typical phone or GPS.
      If your phone can connect to your Buyee using Bluetooth, then the MeshPort will, too. If your Buyee only supports one phone type Bluetooth connection, you will have to choose either MeshPort or phone.
      And your Sena friends have to have at least one Sena that supports OpenMesh 2.0, like a 30K or a 50R/S or +Mesh. Any Sena NON-mesh connected to the OpenMesh Sena (like a 20S) can share in the OpenMesh connection.
      So, any Sena that supports OpenMesh 2.0. can talk to the Sena +Mesh and the Sena MeshPort Blue.
      Any Sena non-mesh can connect to the +Mesh, 1 to 1. The +Mesh on the Bluetooth side only connects to one Sena non-mesh. The +Mesh will connect to anyone on OpenMesh 2.0 within range on the mesh side.
      Any device that can connect to a phone via Bluetooth can connect 1 to 1 to a MeshPort Blue on the Bluetooth side. The MeshPort Blue will connect to anyone on OpenMesh 2.0 within range on the mesh side.
      I bet I confused the hell out of you.
      Sena-non-mesh: buy a +Mesh.
      Non-Sena that can connect to a phone via Bluetooth: Buy a MeshPort Blue.

      Hi. No you cannot. The +Mesh is for Sena headsets that do not support our Mesh Intercom feature so it cannot be paired to the GoPro Hero12. However, the MeshPort Red can be paired to the GoPro Hero12. The difference between the MeshPort Red and the MeshPort Blue compared to the +Mesh is the Bluetooth technology that is used for the +Mesh is different than the MeshPort Red and the MeshPort Blue.

      +Mesh will use one BT Intercom connection. Sena MeshPort Blue, which does not use the Sena BT Intercom, but instead uses a BT connection like a phone, will use one phone connection. I would think you'd want a +Mesh since you are connecting to a 20S EVO, use that BT intercom connection, and save about $70, too.

      If the 3S is a point to point, meaning only two of you can converse at a time (which I think it and the 5S are), then YES, you'd need three +Mesh units, because your one connection per 3S would be eaten by the +Mesh unit.

    • @D.E.X
      @D.E.X 3 года назад +1

      Not a Sena rep.
      This is where it requires more clarity.
      There is the +Mesh, that pairs to other Sena devices via intercom pairing. This would have nothing to do with your phone BT connection.
      Or you have the Sena MeshPort Blue, which uses BT to connect to any intercom system that you could BT connect your phone to. So that would depend if the 10C can handle two BT phone connections.
      The MeshPort is some $70 US dollars more expensive. And your 10C is Sena BT Intercom capable. So I'd use a +Mesh.

    When are you going to offer a 'mesh' plug-in intercom for the Shoei Neotec II? And if using an adapter to talk to riders on an open mesh, can you still be connected with non mesh riders using older style Sena headsets at the same time?

    • @D.E.X
      @D.E.X 3 года назад

      I am not a Sena rep.
      I have the Shoei GT-Air II, with the SRL-2 unit. I can connect directly to my +Mesh and two of my 20S EVO's and talk to them and OpenMesh 2.0 users at the same time. OpenMesh 2.0 can talk to me or the 20S EVO's. The 20S EVO's can talk to me and OpenMesh 2.0 at the same time.
      This also works with a 20S with +Mesh, or a 20S EVO using the +Mesh. A Bilt branded Sena DWO-5 (which cannot share in a three way, its point to point only) connected to the +Mesh can talk OpenMesh 2.0 (But, since that was its only BTconnection, no one can join them to share the OpenMesh). We have one of those in our group and we got tired of dropping one persons connection and connecting to another, so we got two +Mesh, one on a 20S EVO and the other on the stand alone guy. Now we can all talk together and, bonus, if another group with OpenMesh 2.0 come in range, we can connect to them.
      If someone has a 30K or one of the 50R/S, they can host the OpenMesh 2.0 for anyone old style Sena Bluetooth intercom connected to them.

    • @D.E.X
      @D.E.X 3 года назад

      I am not a Sena rep.
      I'm not sure how the SMH5-FM differs from a SMH5. But, if your unit can BT intercom pair to at least one other Sena BT Intercom unit, then yes, it will will work. But, if your SMH5 can only connect to one other Sena unit at a time, you just used up your only connection, so if you ride with someone else using a SMH5, you BOTH will need a +Mesh, and then you will only be able to talk on OpenMesh 2.0, not the normal old Sena BT Intercom. If that makes sense.
